It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

i think comments listed under a certain media release (pictures, clips, sounds and so on) should be related to it as well. in most cases this works well (if the file is really there...) but i don't get why people itching to post DIRECTLY with a whole load of BS instead of just WAIT till they'll have something to judge or comment to.
annoying to the creators of the file in the first place and also to the readers, who also just wanna know what you think about that CERTAIN FILE.

Interesting vid guys! Your passion for working on such a dated engine inspires me a lot to keep mapping (I also primarily work on the HL1 engine)
I love the video and i respect the tons of hard work your putting into the video and the whole mod, but could you please at least lower the music next time. Makes it hard to hear what he is saying and i really am interested in the approach you guys are taking to make the game more polished.

It would be interesting if you made it so that the right hand is dominate over the left. So for example, if the player equips the pistol in his right hand and a knife in the left, the pistol will be reasonably accurate and the knife attack will be weak. If the pistol is in the left and the knife in the right, his shooting accuracy will be poor and but the knife attack will be stronger. This would add an interesting strategy element where you need to decide which is priority, good accuracy or strong melee attacks.
What if the main character is left handed? Now you are a complete *******.

Well well well, 4th videocast, and it was awesome as always.
The beginning with the bird mask *bioshock memories lawl* was nice. I wouldnt want to encounter that thing at night. Freaky.

Anyway, the little stinger before ruMpels part got me, so kudos to you Sir. next thing, its really awesome tos ee how much detail and attention you give to these things. Like the weapons, checking out the real stuff and then making it into the game. Really awesome, I could feel the BANG of the Glock, and thats cool. Any other weapon cool as well of course. So thats awesome.
The voice acting, awesome too aswell. Since Ive done voice acting myself already, I know what its like. Making notes and stuff really helps to see the key elements, when pacing needs to be different, emotions need to change and etc. Now all I need is a better mic, even though this one is not bad, but not 100 percent "clean". The intro was a nice touch, sounded really grim and depressed, also kind of slightly thorn appart by emotions.
As for Minuit, very nice stuff, the Dual system. Adds realism and comes in handy for sure. Not to much to say about it, it works and looks awesome, having combinations between weapons and light and all, biiiiiiiiig kudos to you all who made it work, also cheers on squishing some more bugs and **** with light and all.
Well, it will only get better. And Im very excited to start a Let's Play once the time comes for us all to die. Keep up your amazing work.

The knife swing when dualwielding seems abit odd in my oppinion. It feels like it's way too close to the body. (Maybe make it a stabbing motion instead of a swing would help?)
Very cool stuff as usual. It's cool to see that you go to the trouble of researching things in depth and then incorporating them into the mod, the effort you put in really shows in the end product.

Anyway, those are some really impressive weapon animations.
I'm glad you are being serious about the weapon feel. I feel the exact same way that you (ruMpel) do in regards to weapon shooting in games.
I am also impressed by the voice acting. Putting yourself in the character's shoes may be a challenge and also a learning experience to endeavor.
My suggestion for voicing is making sure the volume and words are clearly articulated and understandable ingame.
One idea I think you could do regarding dual wielding in terms of accessing it, is to have one "magic" button that enables it.
This "magic" button, when held down in combination to the number slot of a weapon, will enable a weapon to be dual wielded.
For example, if the Glock is already held, and you wanted to dual wield the knife (lets assign the "1" key for the knife), the combination would be:
"magic button + "1" key".
To holster it, pressing the same combination again would holster the weapon (unless there's a better idea).
In my opinion, I think this would keep the game pace flowing without interruption from the menu.
The monster at the beginning looked like the lovechild of a Plague Doctor and the Tinman. Not necessary a bad thing thou, as you still managed to stun me with the shot before you started talking.

You guys should add iron sights actually, i mean in the video when rumpel was at the gun range he was using "Real life's iron sight" so just a tad suggestion

Awesome work as usual dudes!. I just hope with the increased weapon realism, the guns wont feel too overpowered, but I'm sure you've taken it into consideration.

Holy ****, I cannot wait for this game to come out.
I like the mod, I've been watching it evolve for a while. But seriously, I'd rather just listen to the developers without all the scream-o music and stuff. It's hard to hear since most of you are a bit on the quiet side, but I'd prefer to listen in silence than be annoyed and have to basically guess what the guy is saying when showing the inventory screen.
