Some concerns to put forth from someone who's been following and playing this mod for years:
First, chaos demons need to be re-balanced. In their current state they are stronger than most (if not all) of the other factions. As an example, I tested Corsairs from the Eldar list, using their rocket launchers against Chaos Demon Lost Souls (Builders), the rocket fired four times, all direct hits, dealing no damage to a 115 HP worker. On that note, the eldar are also in need of a rebalance, as they have trouble dealing with Tyranids, Demons or most other higher health/damage factions. All the eldar's damage values are lies, straight up, with even 1200~ damage of the improved power blade on the walker being criminally low when standing right next to a chaos dreadnaught.

as much as i hate to say it, the downside of the mod these days is the download time. i actually had more luck searching for a workable download link than the ones you provided, sorry to say.

that aside, still a fantastic mod years later. some things never change; thankfully, some things don't need to.

Tie Lance. 3 different yields of Tie Bombers, including seeker rockets. Vader's Tie X. can't remember the next two. Defender, Interceptor, Fighter, Bomber (standard), Droid, Phantom and Scout. nice models btw ^_^ looking forward to seeing more.

gave an earfull about how idiotic they are being too. they have overstepped their bounds. it's time people speak out. EA games is bad enough. they need to learn a lesson. the buck stops now. lesson number one: you wanna lose money fast in the business world? easy. **** off your consumers. they apparently forgot that. let's remind them the price... gently at first... if they don't take the hint, there are other ways as well. i personally prefer the polite, nice, easy way first. but if they wanna play hardball, that's a fun game too... just be careful not to get hit in the nose by the ball. or the bat.

well, there goes pretty much the last good reason to play EAW. glad it got as far as it did though. good luck to the UEAW modding team in all your future exploits.

with any luck, someone will pick up where you left off and finish the last little bits, making this truly the best mod for EAW. i started keeping an eye on this back in 2008 during highschool. there have been times when i thought it had truly had it's last breath, but you all pulled it out of the fire. who knows? perhaps someone will do it again. wouldn't be the first time i've been pleasantly surprised.

an interesting mod. has quite a bit of potential.

one slight sidenote: protector seems somewhat, you'll forgive me, lame... of a class name. especially to give off the idea of someone who is "well rounded". protector gives off the impression of being more defense-oriented. perhaps a name like "warden" would be better suited? just a passing thought...

also if you're looking for a 3rd assassin class, perhaps something along the lines of a "blackguard" or "berserker". a brigand or hired blade who fights with reckless abandon. someone to vex the white knights in shining armor.

i'm a hydra man myself, but nothing ruins a xeno's day quite like imperial guard altillery... nor is anything quite as satisfying as "shelling the filthy scum into oblivion". that's when the imperial guard commander sits back in his chair, calls for a mug of tea, leans back and listens to the imperial guard version of the '1812 overture' and 'ride of the valkyries' while watching the fireworks. then at the end rises from his seat, dabs away a single tear with a handkerchief and says over a voxcaster "that was beautiful. guardsmen of the imperium, i thank you. company, dismissed."

i've been off of starwars ever since Lucas Arts started screwing around with the canon, retconing in the worst possible ways. this mod has done what ever other one of Lucas' tricks failed to do: bring me back to starwars with a passion. reallllly looking forward to what the final release will look like.

also a commonplace in the guard is a lack of available up to date equipment. when they are short, sometimes the guard will use "reserve weapons"... such as older models... or even resort to using Autoguns (slugthrowers and such) if no lasguns are available. use what you can to fight the enemies of the emperor!... they might even pick up shovels if they have to...

Blood Angels have some great melee units while still holding fairly true to a balanced army. also Baal Predator and Furioso Dreadnaught. although they Favor Melta, lascannon and Plasma a little much when not going melee, heavy weapons are not exactly a bad thing to have around either. :P

also, i kinda agree with my sangine brother up there... ultra-smerfs need to go die in a corner of the warp for all the screen time they get.

not to split hairs, but the commander herself is called mirabel. the series of mechanized AI battle suit she is using is called "victor". slight distinction there :P unless you start cloning, which doesn't QUITE suit novus, it would be impossible to have multiple mirabels. just mass-production victor AIs.

i'm going to have to agree with most of the people here. there really isn't any need to rush. "haste makes waste" as my great grand mother used to say. if you feel it's ready, then go ahead. if not, then take your time.
i think all of us have learned the value of patience and you've been progressing with an amazing speed. whatever you feel is best, we'll be behind you all the way. ^_^

in all honesty, i once considered trying to arrange a Homeworld 2 Mod called Warhammer 40,000: Admiralty. it never got off the ground sadly (no pun intended). space-based warhammer mods are almost non-existent. it's extremely refreshing to see someone else with a similar idea for a different game. looking forward to how this turns out ^_^

gotta say... 8472 versus Vorlons in space would be a fight to remember... i'd rank it up there with a Predator Cadre (3-5 Predators in a hunting group, one veteran hunter commanding regular hunters and "unbloodeds") Versus a Sangheili Special Operations Lance (2-4 veteran sanheili with Shields, Stealth, Carbines and Swords; and 2-4 unggoy Needlers and Fuel Rods, also stealthed). on the ground though, the Vorlon Empire would almost certainly win... :/ only challenge to them on the ground would probably be the Daleks.

bleh! too late to edit. i remembered they are called a "Special Operations Lance". 2 Sangheili, 2 Unggoy. they have Active Cammo and Covenant Carbines, Energy Swords or Plasma Rifles, and the Unggoy have Fuel Rods, Needlers or Plasma Pistols. if you add them, they MIGHT also have a GC ability to "raid" with one or two squads. *shrug* just thought i'd throw that out there if you think it sounds interesting. i'd say avoid the Fuel Rods though, they would be a bit unfair in a cloaking squad.. :/ just my professional opinion. but maybe give them some sort of Thermal Detonator like device. idk. i just had that random idea.

oh.. also, Special Operations Sanghili (black armor). they are trained for "hard drop" same as the ODST. just thought i'd add that ^_^... i can also voice act a bit for when the time comes... my mic's a bit old, but it should work.

ok. i come baring a moment when i smiled, a moment where i lost my breath, and a suggestion.
first, the way a Pelican just drops the Scorpion into the fight is perfectly done. for that, you get a golf-clap.
second, when you paned to show not just the map, but the fact that the map was actually ON a halo IN space... i lost my ability to speak and breathe. congratulations. thankfully, i still retained my ability to type :P otherwise i might have trouble writing this.
and finally, a suggestion. during halo 2 after the assassination of the Prophet of Regret at the hands of "The Demon" Master Chief, there was a "glassing operation" performed on the area. you may recall the instance as well as the massive pillar of light that covered the area. i submit that might eventually be added as the Covenant Bombardment effect (or the current Plasma Barrage), with a M.A.C. Round(or rounds) being the UNSC counterpart. (or perhaps an Area Missile Bombardment.) perhaps even add them both, under some sort of "Lesser" and "Greater" bombardment option. simply an idea. stellar work thus far, pardon the pun. *tips hat* keep it up! i look forward to seeing more of its ilk.

because companies are generally lazy and want to just put out enough to get people interested. then there's people like us, who put our heart and soul into it and make it look stunning. although once The Old Republic comes out, i maybe forced to retract that statement on the grounds of "overwhelming awesomeness"... which is the current rating held by this.

i'd be glad to help as well, if you need me. we have everything except the "Crusade" series on DVD at my house, so it's all on hand and overwatched, if you know what i mean ^^; i can name factions, ships, and heros from each of the factions, including the minor factions like the Drakk. i can even show or describe each of the ships in detail right down to armament, with the possible exception of the Drakk Mothership which seems to be a carrier only.

one thing i noticed... as a visual comparison the City Ships (which are listed as a boss, i believe the first one in the mod) from that movie are only about twice as large as Anubis' Flagship. there was an instance where it was hovering over caladonia or whatever Quin's planet is. sorry to split hairs ^^; as the Centauri Minister of intelligence once said "i'm sorry, i was merely being specific. in my experience: if you don't say what you mean, you can never mean what you say. the details are everything."

i'm actually a stage actor and musician. (which is to say i can compose music as well as act and sing, although i'm a bit rusty at composing.) i would be happy to try to do anything i can for this mod ^_^ been watching it for a very long time now with positively baited breath. i do have to warn you: my current microphone is almost 6 years old and very bad... :/
i am however a rather avid Star Wars fan, which takes second place only to Warhammer 40,000 in my mind.

P.S. if you are planning to use 'tractor beams' as an activated ability, might i suggest "where do you think YOU'RE going?" for an imperial response? it's a classic and a little funny ^_^
