This is a mod in progress for MoW:AS changing the theme into the Star Wars universe with new high quality content, new gameplay and many new game mechanics!


The gameplay can somehow be compared to Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 and Faces of War. You will command small units and special weapons, forcing you to use them very carefully and think about every step you make. Each unit will be very important. Sometimes you will be playing a specific character (prepare to use the slowdown function and to direct control units ALOT ;) ...) with AI-controlled companions by your side. Many of the levels will be playing indoors (space stations, ships etc) where you need to make your way through hallways and hangars, finding control panels, opening gates etc to reach your objectives. Some missions will feature dynamic/random events and side objectives. For example, killing a specific person can cause mercenaries to appear, who have been assigned to kill you for revenge - who wouldn't have appeared otherwise, or you will recieve supplies from somebody you helped earlier - even the enemy could become stronger by your decisions.


We put alot of work into this with the bit of free time we can spare. If you like what you see and if you want to see this making more progress, please share this Mod and our newest stuff with your gamers and friends! Even if you are not a Modder and can't help us making the mod, you can still tell other people about this, who might be able to join us - and therefor help us make progress so you can see this mod complete faster! The alien models as well as some other items seen in the screenshots and videos are exported from Star Wars: Jedi Academy and only used as placeholders. They were converted by Man-at-Arms{CRO}.


We are currently looking for:

  • 3D Modellers with experience (models in good quality - desirably with experience in exporting models to Men of War
  • Mappers with experience - create good looking indoor enviroments and create unique sceneries by using all tricks of the game engine and combining objects in editor
  • Voice actors (m/f) - record high quality audio

When will the mod be released?
- When it's done. Please stop asking. Any exact date will be announced when we have it...

Will the release be soon? / This mod has been in development for so long time now!
- Please keep in mind that this is a project done in the spare free time by two persons who also have a real life going on.

What version of the game do I need for the demo?
- The mod is being made and tested with the latest patch on Steam. Steam Version 2.05.15

How do I install the demo?
- Please read the included readme-file of the download.

Will the mod also cover the clone wars era?
- At the moment we focus on the civil war era and still have a long road to go on it. There will still be some clone wars stuff in the mod like equipment that is still in use.

Will the mod switch to AS2 (Assault Squad 2) at some point?
- This decision will depend on the improvements to the game & engine. If for example the human AI would be smarter in indoor enviroments, the chances that we switch would be very big. But so far we haven't seen anything that would make us switch the game.

Why don't you release [...] (items/maps/character models/etc) right now?
- Sorry, I really do understand that you want to have all these toys right now, but please have some respect, this is OUR project and we want to release it as a whole thing. The demo release was never planned I just made that decision for the nice community around here (and people started stealing stuff from it for their own mods). To demand something like that is the same as if you would ask movie creators to hand out some scenes of the full movie before release.

Will the campaign follow a bigger main story?
- Most missions will have their own stories, though there might be missions connected to each other or a mini story containing a few missions.

Which side will we be playing in the campaign?
- All sides: Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, Mercenaries, Pirates, Smugglers, Farmers, etc

Will you add skirmish battles?
- We haven't done any skirmish missions yet, but they are easy to set up, so we'll probably add some at a later point for those who like these kind of missions. Though the main focus is on missions in style of which you had in our demo.

The Stormtroopers seem to be pretty accurate in this... wtf?
- Please read about the "Principle of Evil Marksmanship" or "Stormtrooper effect". Ofcourse they had a bad aim in the movie, otherwise the movies would have been pretty short - with the rebels all dead... In pretty much all movies the bad guys have horrible aiming skills. If you haven't noticed that yet - have you been living under a rock?! ;)

Hey space cowboys!

With the updated page content on ModDB I have just changed the name of the mod to "Rising Empire", to make clear that the WW2 era and Musket era parts of the mod have been set on hold because of our low manpower. This isn't much of a news since we haven't been updating the other two parts for a long time, so you should already know this.

But with the name changed we also update the url to this page, so:

Short version: no WW2, no Musketeers, we changed the name - please update your bookmarks ;)

You know,i honestly don't want to be "that guy",but,what if,you could release a beta ? I mean,you've clearly made a ton of things,most of them are certainly stable or at least work properly,so why don't you just do that ? First release the beta version of the mod,people will test it(and most of them will be happy to do that),and then you can just release the addons,bug fixes etc.,until you'll come up with a final product.This is just a simple preposition,like i said,i don't want to annoy and disturb the mod team,and it will be understandable if you don't want to release an unfinished mod.
