About

This is a mod in progress for MoW:AS2 changing the theme to the Star Wars universe with new high quality content, new non-linear RPG gameplay and new game mechanics like functional bacta dispensers, blast doors and much more. Please check out the F.A.Q. section!

Gameplay

You will command small commando squads and special weapons, forcing you to use them very carefully and think about every step you make. Sometimes you will be playing a specific character (prepare to use the slowdown function and to direct control units ALOT) with AI-controlled companions by your side. Some levels will feature indoor enviroments - hallways and hangars, accessing control panels and opening gates to reach your objectives. Dynamic/random events and side objectives:killing a specific person can cause mercenaries to attack you, or you will recieve supplies from somebody you helped earlier - even the enemy can gain strength from your decisions.

Open positions:

  • 3D Modellers (high quality) w/XP - desirably with experience in exporting models to MoW
  • Mappers w/XP - create authentic indoor enviroments, unique sceneries using all tricks of the game engine
  • Music artist - create tracks close to the OST type
  • Voice actors (m/f) - record high quality audio

w/XP = with experience. Please send me an PM to apply for the job and add some example of your work.

I currently don't take any mappers into the team. This will be done once we have more map props ready. You can still PM me to apply and save your place in our team for the future tho!

Rising Empire News

Engine update (now using the latest AS2 build)

Hi Troopers,

After alot of texture converting I am happy to report that I was finally able to bring Rising Empire to the latest engine update for AS2 (which also means that moving to Call to Arms would be a small step from here).

FX improvements

I noticed that the FX used in Call to Arms are exactly what I wanted for Rising Empire (lots of sparks and fancy explosions, stuff you only see in movies... or games), so I mixed my own work with theirs - you can see the result in this video. Things might change again, you know me ;-)

Thanks to the engine update, the textures for burned ground (laserholes) and walker stomps etc will now slowly fade away and not disappear so harsh.

Sound enhancements

Also new (but not in the video) are laser echo sounds for several types and sound adjustments for ALL sounds. Consoles will be beeping as you zoom at them, and not from 50 meters away, AT-ATs will can be heard stomping from far, far away! So you will hear them coming and shaking the ground long time before you even see them, like in the Battle of Hoth.

the mod says "define not found" file set/stuff/blaster/blaster-pistol/blaster_pistol.pattern

but when I looked in the .pak file, theres nothing in it... pls help....

I would like to see clones i cant get the other star wars mods to work this is the only one also if you may make it were the storm troopers have better odds when it comes to fighting the rebels. Their guns do not shoot fasts and deal low damage and the rebels can kill at least 5 before one of them die i ran tests involving dif units and numbers of men even if the empire has more men they lose. A test i did i did 20 rebels vs 30 troopers and the rebels won. I then did 20 rebels vs 40 and they still won. Once i got the 50 troopers they won but with few remaining. Just a personal test and opinions.

This mod has been kind of quiet lately. That's not entirely a bad thing, I'm just curious to see where the mod is at as of now. Not a release date or anything, just the progress that's being made in the development of the mod.

Hey there, it has been quiet because only minor changes have been made. I don't have any material left to work with. Lynx made some new props and textures but that's it, and I think he is busy with RL stuff again. That's why I've been busy with my private mods (as seen on YouTube).
