awww man it's all good was just bringing some like perfect dark feels into the game since they ran on the same engine and perfect dark had a lot of dark maps where you could either have blinking enemies or bright enemies but still seeable players regardless of the option being on or off. Plus I use sweetFx to make a contrasted dark saturated environment for more eye candy. A lot of people have used and use mayday because she has that dark model edge to hide in shadows. The skin process was just to balance out the odds but all good. So many more games use a "form" of brightskins or colored enemies for a more competitive environment but all those games have crosshairs to. So I guess yeah if they had time it would have more than likely been added but hey wouldnt be Goldeneye right? Much like how zandronum actually plays the Doom game on its original vanilla engine and yet gives the ability to look up and down along with a crosshair which weren't really part of the original game either. But it wouldnt be doom then yet it is doom and not one has complained of the added options. I respect your opinion even though of the lack of time they had or one person had to actually add more multiplayer components. But have a team or that one person have actually got the time to I would think looking down upon me as a community probably wouldn't happen. Gotta shame what a shame all good mate. Feel like the animation is way to smooth. Doesn't seem to aggressive seems to smooth in animation making everything look a little less intense in atmosphere
Been playing a lot of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark lately on the mouse injector 60fps 1964 emulator. I have noticed that both of them and their base speed is a little bit faster than this mods base speed. Always felt like there was something up with Goldeneye source because it felt slow in movement and to no surprise that is just how the game actually plays. Plus I think a FOV slider should be added at some point. Like in Quake you can adjust the fov anywhere from 90 - 130. Changing this fov is based upon what resolution you play on and the fov you feel comfortable with. The lower the FOV the slower the game appears. So maybe GE:S is just as fast but doesn't look like it due to fov.
But personally I just think the base speed is slow. I play on 4:3 resolution because that is what I feel most comforatble in playing on. I also play by stretching to fill the whole screen rather than black bars on the side. And if you never do add a fov slider will holding the forward and strafe keys ever just make the player run like in the 64 rather than waiting a whole 1 or 2 seconds before it activates because before the update all you had to do was hug the wall to go faster. So instead of just increasing base speed you could just make the C-Button activate instantly like the 64 version and a fov slider.
These changes alone would probably make Goldeneye a much more competitive game. Would also like to see the gun models sway around like they do in the original Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and even Turok 1. Will the perfect Dark maps ever come back along with the !rtv !nominate commands? Is it possible to make Goldeneye Source have 64 upscaled graphics on everything Other than just the classic maps?.
So in conclusion will a FOV slider ever exist? To add variety and also make the game more competitive because players can use their own personal configuration that they took the time on in creating a style that suits them kinda like Pro Quake Live Players do?
Will holding the c-buttons activate immediately like the 64 other than waiting?
Will there ever be a gun sway very similar to the 64 counterpart? The 60fps GE & PD has the sway as well but it's a lot tighter and nostalgic to look at while using a mouse.
Will there ever be a Texture pack or option for having original n64 upscaled graphics rather than just the levels themselves? be a great way to further add the appeal the game already excels in.
Will !RTV, !NOMINATE, Perfect Dark levels and music ever come back?
Could there ever be a possibility in replacing the gun models with perfect dark ones instead? Such as the K7 Avenger in place of KF7 Soviet? Be another great way to further add appeal to the game. You could even choose which weapons you want to have the perfect dark guns as well as being able to choose the original and then have both GE & PD skins in the game?
for some reason I'm not seeing any of the pictures that are displayed. Hardly any difference really everything pretty much looks the same as vanilla bfg edition for some reason. Got the steam version though on win10 gtx 780
Is there ever gonna be an option to increase/decrease zoom sensitivity?. Quite a few new players have been using just the "aim mode" rather than strafing side to side. In game sense and zoom sense are the exact same only difference is while zoomed in you become an easier target to hit. Think if there was a zoom sensitivity option it would make using the aim mode more reliable since its the only way to display a "crosshair". Original n64 goldeneye had zoom sensitivity and think this should eventually have one as well.
Soooooo this can happen even though crytek is still doing that timesplitters rewind? ... If so awesome. It's taking them to damn long. Plus the source engine somehow fits perfectly for older games. So not only is Golden eye source a direct recreation of the n64 . We are yet getting another game like it, being Timesplitters 2!!! Awesome. I like timesplitters 2 just a little bit more than future perfect. T2 came out on my b-day :p. Hope this goes far.
Interesting. So since there is a new unreal engine you decide to use that one. Good decision. I'm not a huge unreal engine 3 fan anyways. since that's what Turok 08 used and a bunch of other games use. I feel Unreal 3 is an unoptimized engine for pc. Hopefully unreal 4 is a better more optimized engine for pc gamers. Plus I guess I couldn't see Turok on any other engine since Rage wars did come out around the same time as Quake 3 and Unreal. Only engine I can see it using is id tech. other than that hopefully unreal 4 can be a good engine for Turok. I personally believe that even though Rage wars was a console game. I believe it competed very well against Quake 3 and unreal. Haven't seen a game since that uses Turok's weapon interface making it easy to use over 18 weapons just by the click of a button. Hopefully you guys implement that into Turok 1 since it was only in Turok 2 and Rage wars. But other than that I hope you guys can finish this and get as far into remaking Turok as you possibly can. It's been almost a year since anything new has been posted. And this post is reassuring. Good Luck!

okay I seem to have got it to work from the download on the main page where there are 2 files per each... But Now it says no steam servers available? I have quite a bit of valve games so I don't understand. HL2, Portal, Counter Strike, HL2DM and so on... Any ideas? Or should I wait till 4.3?. Would like to play some Goldeneye though, since I still have my own copy and find this to be a beautiful true revival .
Hello, I don't know if anyone even plays this anymore or responds, but I have 4.2 and every time I load it. It says 'Could not load Library Content'. At first it didn't work at all, so I renamed the client.dll to clientold.dll and then it seem to work and load but the screen stayed black for about 10 second and went back to desktop saying again 'Could not Load Library Content' any suggestions?
I have no idea if you guys have made any other further progress with the games campaign but the very short introduction was very beautiful and scary. I literally had 3 people in my room as I walked up to that TV in his dream and we all jumped! but I did the most and was laughed at since I was the one playing the game. Ignore all the people who doubt you! Because this game has so much potential and when playing it felt no where near like Amnesia which was a very satisfying feeling to me.

Hello again. I seem to be getting flickering shadows.? I have got this before in a doom 3 mod called sikkmod which enhances the graphics and never figured it out until I disabled catalyst AI and changed the name of doom3.exe to Doom 3.exe. Now this only seems to happen with the doom 3 engine and I have no idea why. I have tried similar techniques with this mod but I either get a black title screen or it doesn't change at all. Any Ideas to how I can fix this? Oh this same shadow flickering/White dot tip shadow textures has also occurred in a Mod called Hexen edge Of Chaos, Another mod for doom 3. All the current doom 3 mods I have work because I run them through my Fixed Doom 3 game, but this has its own launcher. So it leads me to the same question again.
Q: Is There Any Specific Technique or Way To Fix This Shadow Flickering Problem? Thank you... Wonderful Mod
