I just found a bug where the units I build from the Aeon sea factory are invisible. The very first unit I build from it comes out visible, but all units after that are invisible. (ships, but engineers too). I have only tried building Tier 1 units though.

Also, when playing online with a friend I get a dysynch after about 15-20 minutes. We were playing 1v1 (UEF and Aeon).

I just got it to work using a manual install. For anyone getting immediate crashes when trying to start a game. Try opening up your main 'Revamp Expansion Mod 2.0 Alpha 1.scd' file, taking out all the files in there and putting them in your gamedata folder. Worked for me.

I just did a clean reinstall, added the mod to the mod manager and launched and I have the same issue. So I don't think it's your unit cap.

I've figured it out and I feel really, REALLY stupid now xD. It was the d*mn box in the main menu, that you have to tick to enable DLC. I can't believe I didn't see that thing...

Sorry for me being such a fool, I hope my problem didn't take too much of your precious modding time! I've just played for over 3 hours and everything works fine now.

I'll enjoy the old version until the new one comes out. Good luck finishing 2.0, I'm looking forward to its release :).

Yes, it's running through steam. In the main menu it says:

"RVE 1.1 Installed >>DLC REQUESTED<< SC2 version: 1.260"

Note: I do have the infinite war DLC installed.

I've also tried installing UnitPort, since it overwrites some of the files from Revamp, but I still have the crashing issue with that mod enabled as well.

Hmm okay. Well thanks for your time, too bad you couldn't find a solution.

Guess I'll just have to wait till 2.0 releases and hope that one does work for me...

I just tried running it without any AI and it worked. (tried for about an hour, and I was able to build any unit and/or building just fine). So it must be because of something the AI does..?

Maybe it'll work after the upcoming update (I hope so, at least!). But if you have any ideas how to fix this in the meantime, that would be great :).

I tried to run it without the mod, it seemed to work for 1+ hour.

I'll try running a sandbox match without AI later and see how that goes.

I don't think it's my system, as the mod worked on the very same pc a few years back. The only thing I changed since then, I think, is swapping my HDD for an SSD. But I might try to run it on my laptop as well, see if it works on that.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've tried installing it in multiple different ways:
-Just putting the main (zipped) .scd files in the gamedata folder
-Unzipping all mods and putting all of the seperate files in my gamedata folder.
-Unzipping only my revamp expansion mod and modsupport, and leaving the sub-mods zipped. (I've also tried this without adding the sub-mods at all)

None of these methods seem to have worked. The game does start with the mod enabled; it even says so near my version and it also seems to work in-game as the scale of my units has changed and the research trees contain classic units. After about a minute or two it just crashes.

That'll all be in the 2.0 version, which isn't released yet.

Hey devs,

I've tried installing your mod again after a very long time. The installing does work, I can start playing the mod. However, after a few minutes of gameplay the game crashes to desktop.

I've done some digging in old comments and such, and saw several other people had the same issues.

I have the DLC. I've tried validating my files through steam. I've done several complete reinstalls. I've tried only installing the main Revamp Expansion Mod (and modsupport), but nothing seems to work.

A friend of mine installed the mod and can play it just fine. I did exactly the same he did, but that didn't work for me. I even tried copying his gamedata folder and putting it in my own game, and it still doesn't work...

Right now, I'm clueless how to get this to work again. Any help would be appreciated.

The shotgun part failed because it only had 2 shells, and there were more enemies than that. They managed to kill me during the reload cycle. I might try out the jumping, though, thanks for the tip.

The sniping might not have been a good idea after all. It seemed like they were far away, but they were pretty fast so it didn't take them much time to get to me. Somehow it seemed like a smart plan at the time, lol...

And yes, I have played the non-modded stalker. Although it was quite a while ago. Which is also why I wanted to try this mod, thought it would make the experience 'fresh' again.

First time I tried this mod, using the Sniper class. It spawns me in a field with a few packs of not-so-friendly-dogs. I decided to sneak around them, using the 'prone' position. They saw me, rushed me, I tried to shotgun them, but they killed me in 2 bites.

Second time I tried this, I noticed the doggies going for me from afar, so I decided to try and snipe them as they came towards me. I hit one of the buggers twice but it didn't seem to do anything at all. They rushed at me and killed me almost instantly.

And keep in mind, this was in the 'rookie' mode. I can't even imagine the difficulty that comes with the regular mode.

I must be doing something wrong, as people are in fact enjoying this mod it seems. So does anyone have any tips? Otherwise, this seems like a pretty unplayable mod (for me, at least).

Does anyone know where to find some good modern maps that are compatible with this? I mean, some of the maps included in the mod are okay, but most are very empty and quite boring imho.

This has probably been asked before, but have you considered porting this to Assault Squad 2? Not sure how much effort that actually takes, but I think it'd be worth it for people like me who own Assault Squad 2, but not 1. I'd love being able to play this mod, it looks great.

Just discovered this mod after watching DiplexHeated's preview on it. Looks really awesome. I was just wondering... Are you planning on making it compatible with Men of War: Assault Squad 2 as well or just Assault Squad 1?

Is this mod going to be compatible for Assault Squad 2, as well? Or just AS1?

You can try reverting the game's version through steam properties. Or you can wait for the patch to be released.

Reverting the game's version will allow you to keep your saves, I think, but the patch will probably whipe them.

Edit: Nvm, they patched it. Download it and it'll be fixed.

It will. As said on their website:

"The mod is compatible right now but we are aiming to add new features before unleashing the update, it will also come on the workshop."

I get what you're saying. I've played the first CoH series and the mods too. And yeah, I did hope for a bit more content to be put into this second game, but I still think it's a decent RTS and an enjoyable game. (and when mods start releasing, it'll be even better!)

I wasn't saying you can't voice your opinion, I think everyone can, and should, but the word unimpressive just sound wrong to me, since the developers have put a lot of effort into it, and eventhough you don't find it very impressive, I do quite enjoy the game. The fact that there isn't a whole lot of difference from the first game can also be a plus side, imo, because the first game was already quite amazing. And I do believe there are lots of new, interesting functions. Theather of War, Winter weather system, army customization, just a couple of examples.

PS. I don't think Supreme Commander 2 is a ****** game either. :)

You're unimpressive!

No, but seriously though, don't just call a game "unimpressive". A lot of work has gone into it by the developers, and just the fact that -you- don't like it, doesn't mean it's unimpressive. It's not like you'd be able to make a better game yourself, after all...

Anyways, I love this game so far. Hope there's gonna be some great mods in the near future.

Do you plan on releasing the mod with just the Survivor and Zombie factions first, and the Bandit as a later update? Or will you keep us waiting for a little longer and release with all 3 factions finished?

I'd say it'd be nice to be able to play just survivors and zombies at first. Mostly because I'm impatient.. xD but also to keep all us fans out here busy while the team can take all the time you need to finish the bandits :). Just a suggestion. But either way, I'm looking forward to playing this amazing mod. Keep up the great work!
