Our coders Duhprey and Jharger do plan to get a better AI implemented soon so that Single player becomes viable and playable, so yes it is planned..

Suggestion for new room type, frost room attracts yetis and other ice monsters, downsize is having them in sleeping area of other monsters may drive them away or make them upset esp fire based monsters..
the game engine we are using is supposed to be adding Linux support soon! once that is released yes we will release for Linux once the ability becomes available.
Depending how fast our two coders Duhprey and Jharger are able to finish up the next build we may soon be able to release a build with battle lobby and for easy of finding players and setting up games on the battle rings! also the video is from an older build and we have a number of new things added since this video was made also a few bug fixes :)
we are still making adjustment to the rain cloud floater unit mesh once those tweaks are finished being done we will unwrap and get the cloud floater textured! But we thought it would be good to get even the basic mesh ingame since it looks better then using just a box for testing to represent the unit :)
Be warned Tool tips are not in yet in-game so figuring out the different priest ring menu buttons may be little tricky at first.

We just updated the Rising Storm site with new feel and look!
Rising Storm Update: Just wanted to let you guys know we are getting closer to having Alpha 2 ready, also the new version will have for a short time a new crash tracking system to help us track what causes crashes for people when playing to make it easier for tracking bugs.. This is what the coder said "Ill be tracking crashes or major bugs, ip addresses for sorting games, some basic usage statistics (like how long played, sp vs mp, number of players etc) and if anything changes in the future we'll make sure to tell everyone"
This has been gone through before! we picked the name Rising Storm before the other project picked it also as theirs.. Our game is a fan remake of "Netstorm" that had storm in its name so we picked rising storm because it went with the storm theme of the original 2D and it was only much later I met someone that works on the other RisingStorm project that said it had also been picked as theirs, we both agreed there was no problem with project names since we had picked our name first and our project is mainly fan remake of an older and and not in competing field also the name was appropriated for the theme of our game being a fan tribute remake of Netstorm.
by Alpha 4 we should have sacrificing fully working right now MP ends when players priest gets captured, but we have the animation for the priest for performing the saccing so soon player will be able to capture another players priest and bring back to the Altar building.

it would be very sweet to have normal map for meshes in UT99, since others have sucessfuly ported vehicles from UT2k4 into UT99 the only thing UT99 was missing was more lighting and effects that this project has that the engine only needs normal mapping to make UT99 modding really be sweet.
Any chance you will be able to implement normal maps for meshes?
Addon monster, Yeti :D likes his sleeping area icey frosty cold area but other monsters dont like sleeping so close because of cold. special room to build to attract would be ice cave. counter part of humans would be martial art monks.

We are currently trying to get the last meshes finished for the rain player and also implementing the air units and basic AI, AI now knows how to bridge and build and once we get the AI attacking we will be implementing the air units more and getting things ready for the Demo.
