Yes these are all in the works, we are just in the early stage of the implementing of features. also one in the siop window will be able to select if warheads will be air burst or ground burst also.
The engine we are using supports highres ground textures, its just the one we are useing for the terrain is a lower detail one we are using until we get the gameplay finished then we will do a re-edit of the terrain with newer terrain textures for the details on the ground so everything will look better for the terrain. Also Yes the higher one goes the darker the sky will get until its space is what we are planning.

Thanks we are stil in the very early stages. but I am hoping tonight or tomorrow to have a video of the ICBM firing showing a very basic view of our ICBM targeting window also.
There was an entire news update to go along with the screenshots uploaded last morning but it is still waiting to be authed by the admin.
first off the interface in the screenshot show only the half of the screen the rest was cropped so the interface stood out more. second the mini map in the center will have a rotating view of the earth that shows where one is on the earth at the moment. they are drop downs.
if you mean by control by setting flight paths and area coverage then yes! but you will not be able to fly them like in a plane or MSFS.

It’s like defcon only in the fact that it has missiles and nukes and any similarities end there. Interceptorshield is a Air defense and missile defense game covering all aspects of air defense.
My last reply was poorly worded what I mean is that just one of my house meshes has les polys then a single WIC house, and even four of my meshes together are still less then a WIC building.

Each house has les poly's then two WIC houses so they are rather low poly its the normal mapping htat makes them look good.
Its Just the resolution/angle :D also once everything is implemented we will be working on tweaking the scaling.
The ingame model has the smoothing fixed. also I did include the images as clickabe so they would take one to the full size images but when I posted it removed the encoding and only posted the thumbnails :/.
As soon as we get the last of the interface elements from the Gui guy we will be posting some screens of the interface ingame ;) showing building and missile production. on a side note if you guys like the project please vote for it and spread the word about IS.
