I picked the name Risingstorm for our remake project of netstorm long before they started working on their expansion. also if you think about it their full name of their project is an add on for a game so its Red Orchestra Rising Storm, but our project is just a remake called Rising Storm.

I have my own hard copy that came with my game of netstorm when I bought netstorm five years ago from amazon and no I am not giving it away its mine lol :) if you are looking for a Manuel to read I suggest you check the netstormhq website but they are currently moving to a new file host so you might not be able to access the site until they finish the move.
We have some of the main NS players working with us on the project making sure we keep things right and we have had the honor of talking with the original NS developers and top heads of Titanic Entertainment and we are striving hard to keep the game-play the same as the classic but updating it to 3D instead of 2D to make this fan project a worthy tribute to the classic NS.

Now its in 3D :P, we just about have the new island system finished so we will be moving away from the crappy temp mesh islands we had been using and will have nice organic looking islands. also the new ingame map editor will make making generating mission and islands easy for single player mission making.
When I tried the demo you released there was no way of binding the movement keys in-game to how I like to use them in other games, so please when you release next build put a in-game key binding menu for what keys the player wants to set for using for movement.
The the latest screen-shots of the game, the world map is still a tad to dark, if you upped lighting just a very slight bit it would be perfect but don't up lighting to high. it only need adjusted a slight bit to make it perfect.
One thing is the maps are to dark, if you look at the future war intro in T2 yes it was night but the battle field was bathed in moonlight and gave enough lighting to clearly see everything only places that were really dark were inside wrecked buildings and tunnels. so if you could make the battle field just a tad bit brighter that would help a lot.
Old mesh I did back in UT2k3 with the maya learning edition. did several more since then using blender.

I notice in the video you keep the HK back and out of view with only the lights is that because you only have a temp model in that just has the shape for the dark outline in the sky and have not done a full detail mesh yet?

Yep :) The Russian S-300 is a mobile accurate air defense system and is just one of many systems that will be available for players to deploy depending on country they play and current systems open for purchase on the market ingame that your country can produce or buy from another country.
We both use the same game engine for our project and its one of the features that be be turned on and used.
Yes this is the THAAD "Terminal High Alitude Area" system and is used to shoot down incoming threats in the terminal phase of flight.
Just to let everyone know the project is not dead we just have been busy working on new content for Interceptorshield. In the last month we have been working on performance increase along with new meshes. we currently have the Airfield meshes skinned and normal mapped I will be posting screen-shots of those soon. We also have THAAD missile system almost finished including meshes for Russian S-300 air defense system. so be sure to check back soon for these big updates.
By tomorrow we should have a new content update and soon a new video showing the finished meshes in action.

The LGM-30 Minuteman-3 Missile and the silo that the missile will be deployed in has been sent to the skinner so in about a week or so as soon as he gets to skinning them we will have some new pics and videos to show showing the new site up close in action ingame :)

We are are working on it HerrGeneral, also we have a brand new project mesh finished and are just waiting for the skinner to make final tweaks then I will be ready to show the first sneak peaks of the newly finished textured and normal mapped mesh this week so stay posted :D

You will be able to tailor your strike planes for one or more launches and also cross link them and the abilty to save targets and also forwards warplans to other players will be an option.
