Addon monster, Yeti :D likes his sleeping area icey frosty cold area but other monsters dont like sleeping so close because of cold. special room to build to attract would be ice cave. counter part of humans would be martial art monks.

We are currently trying to get the last meshes finished for the rain player and also implementing the air units and basic AI, AI now knows how to bridge and build and once we get the AI attacking we will be implementing the air units more and getting things ready for the Demo.

We have been doing network testing over lan and it works just fine also we will will be implementing a new classic NS lobby system for selecting and starting MP games.

Nimbus I believe might have been one of the German names for the original game. Netstorm was what the game was called here in America..
Thanks for the comments guys, everyone on the project is working very hard to make everything perfect and do it justice to the original. Also we have been talking with the original makers of the game and they also really like what we are doing with it and look forwards to playing us a few games once its finished. Also expect more content updates soon as we are in middle of getting more buildings and unit models finished so keep posted ;)

OK we posted a video of the temp priest mesh with a few animations for him.
Everyone on the team is very pleased with the progress that is coming along on getting stuff done. Our Animator just about has the priest animated and we hope to put a little test video showing off the priests walking anims and praying anims. The animator said he may have the video ready in a short bit so later tonight I might be uploading it.
also I first started putting together the idea for a netstorm remake back in 2001 when I was working on the UT2k4 RTS mod Uskaarj and had picked Rising Storm for the name of the planned project but was busy working on Uskaarj and several other projects at the time but I put together a list of features and started writing up basic design doc for the project. I picked Rising Storm at the time because it fit into the game-play that is netstorm with players taking sides of thunder, Rain, Wind, and sun. it was only middle of this year that I found out there is another project called Rising Storm when one of my friends that works at the studio that makes Red Orchestra said that there is a project for their game called Rising Storm but both me and him did not think it would be a problem.

We are hoping to have a playable build with basic MP working soon, but we are focusing on getting it as fine tuned as we can before releasing it and also working hard on getting it all the models textured and content polished.
I had heard on the one unity development talk channel that Linux is one the options that is planned to be added to unity 3 support soon so I was going from that when I was filling out the project profile for supported options for the game.

Yes single player will allow you to have random map generation and select number of enemy priest to play against and also game modes for random maps. also we are implementing a new easy to to use map editor to make single player missions with in-depth settings for in-game triggers to set events to make long campaigns or just single missions. So players will always be able to play fun single player games against bots in quick action games or against MP players in the skies of Nimbus ;)

I picked the name Risingstorm for our remake project of netstorm long before they started working on their expansion. also if you think about it their full name of their project is an add on for a game so its Red Orchestra Rising Storm, but our project is just a remake stand alone called Rising Storm.
