So, how does one be eligible for beta testing the multiplayer playests that have been going on? As, I would like to very much like to give this a try, and compare it to the countless other sea games I've played.
Ya, I figured that out after hours of trying to figure out how to even get off the ground lol. Combination of shift and and W. Wish there was a way to actually control your pitch though other than throttling your engines. There also needs to be a repository so people can easily share there creations with each other, without having to have a twitter account, seeing as I could care less about twitter, I'm pretty much isolated with my own creations, or if I can find one somewhere that is the right format.
Confirmed. Steam version, All overlays off, Steam AND UPlay. Crash on Startup
On top of that, I can get off the ground for more then 3 seconds before everything just shuts off and I plummet to the ground. Any ideas?
This is great fun! Only thing is, while I'm trying to build I get attacked and sometimes lose everything :P. On top of that, my turrets have a tendency to just not lock on onto anything after awhile.
Ya, turrets on all other ships work fine. It may be something just related to the artillery ship alone. They used to work, however, now they do not, can't give you a reason why, but can just tell you that it looks to be only isolated to the arty ship.
I'm loving this game. Though my only beef atm is that for some reason with AI, they WILL NOT for the life of me use the turrets on the Artillery Frigate. They worked for awhile, but now, they just cease to work on my end. They'll for for the rest of the other AI ships friend or foe. But not for me. So either I pressed a button that I shouldn't have pressed or something is glitched out in a config file that shouldn't have been glitched. I tried reinstalling sort to speak, but seeing as I have no idea where the config files are saved locally, it doesn't do anything.
There was a Fleet Commander mod for this game hosted on Moddb, however Universal closed every single mod on moddb in regards to BSG. Was a great mod, and still is, if you managed to find it ;). Not sure if the mod is still currently being developed, as Phoenix Interactives forums and website, doesn't mention anything about it.
It generally happens to ALL of my ships. Mothership, Shipyard, Crew Ship etc. Everything, in open space with no nebula just randomly loosing health for no apparent reason. I tend to see health loss as im building and upgrading ships. No idea why, its pretty much a killer of my whole game, when Im just seeing my shipyard explode for no reason and can't do anything about it. Quite frustrating really.
Am I missing something? Its the 8th, says this is released now, but see nothing in regards to downloading anything.
Oh you bet I will :).
1 DAY LEFT!!!
Ha! My bad lol. Is there a way to get the source file at least for the song? Or give us a hint as to where you had gotten it?
This is starting to look like spam to me. Seeing as you post the EXACT some thing pretty much every single week.... You even real bro?
Really want some covenant dangit :(
We may never know :(. Unless the mod creator could remember where he got it from or has the original file :P
Shame that this had to die the way it did :(. Really loved this mod, and probably still the best mod in my opinion. Maby someday, BSGFC can live on. Phoenix Interactive "was" continuing the work on the mod, however has dropped off the radar since mid of last year, most likely due to copyright claims from NBC Universal, pulling pretty much every mod made with the TV series. So it's unlikely we will ever see a BSG game again, unless its BSG Online, which is pretty much pay to win now.
I just set my computer date to anything before April 29th, 2012 and it usually works like a charm after a few tries.
I found it in the music list in-game. On last page of list called Aimbot - Special. But I can't find it anywhere with the artist "Special". Would love to have this song. :(
Could download a trainer, that does Instabuild. That's what I do when I just wanna get into a battle quickly vs a hard AI. Surprisingly, the AI can sometimes cheat more then I can cheat, with my instant build depending on the mod. But I only do that to have some quick fun.
Want so bad right now...
Be grateful. Not everyone can play it right now...
Please don't die. :(
I can't help but notice my ships just randomly losing health at times. Sometimes to the point of their destruction. I'm obviously missing something. Anyone help a fellow player out?
Anyone know the name of the song that plays in the aimbot video? Youtube.com
I don't see this going anywhere....
That was very specific.
"I did not understand you the first time about "So you like hearing people dying every second?" but it was a feature from some original units as the B-Wing or the Red Squadron by example. Of course I like it."
I don't see how hearing EVERY fighter pilot die is likable, but regardless can be filtered out through game play I suppose. For that matter I do believe original B-Wing and Red Squadron did not have every single fighter being destroyed being associated with a "death sound". It was more like very 2 or 3 fighters being destroyed then you would hear a death sound. Of course, I could be wrong :P.
"The things that you feel are unnecesary, for me are more fun and they make very different to this mod from others."
You're right, it's not all about "me" it about your "community". You have a great mod going on, but give us "players" some options. For example, give us the option for whether massive fleets jump in or not randomly. Give us the option whether or not to hear every single fighter pilot die in big space battles, it gets annoying (to some like me). Your mod is definitely unique, fun, and of course "your" mod. So you can do as you please. Just giving some suggestions that can be ignored by your choosing.
I do look forward to 4.7 and the 5.0 patch.
So you like hearing people dying every second? It's annoying when you want to play the game and hear EVERY death in the game regardless of what side you are on. It's unnecessary.
You like random fleets just randomly jumping in and changing the tide of battle? (Not necessarily a bad thing, but unnecessary, seeing as the fleet is usually always spawned in for you, the player, and you can never loose.)
AI relentlessly focuses on upgrading the space station immediately, which isn't bad, but sometimes people like to have lengthy battles not have it over in less then 10-15 mins because a massive fleet comes in out of no where and uses your reinforcement points so you can't spawn anything else.
As for the bugs, I'm stating spawning in ground units from the Golan Space station while in a space battle causes the game to crash. Sure, many are smart enough to not spawn in ground units in space, but having the button there in the first place is unnecessary
As you stated this is an older beta. If there is a newer version, why did you upload a clearly outdated version?
The mod is great, just some things are unnecessary or give us the option to do so, not force it upon the player. I'll take a look at the "Bigger Version" on your website, since I'm guessing that one is updated unlike the old 0.5 beta.
Its an .exe file. You install it...
