You don't have to open the closest or find the closet key for that matter because you can just walk up to the closet and grab the clothes through the closet doors. This is during the first flashback bit as a child.

Ok I don't understand what I missed. You give me a key that I got from the second floor of the library that only opens a door that leads to a balcony on that same floor with nothing useful on it. Afterwards the key is gone and I'm stuck in the library. What gives?
EDIT: Ok I found out what I had to do. But just so you know. I managed to stack a box on top of the table and a chair on top of the box to get on to the balcony without the key. This was before I noticed the falled bookshelf that leads to to top floor. I also tried to jump across once I did that but it felt wrong since the door was locked. But now having unlocked it I see that I could have skipped that entire part by my stacking method. Just FYI.
Stuck at the first Force Field wall. Can't figure out how to pass it.
Great game so far, I've yet to complete it as I'm kind of stuck and as a result of this I've noticed something. Not sure if this is supposed to happen but...Spoiler Alert... Save game compromise possible below.
After doing the lock combo and getting my first rod, I went back to the Crypt to try and investigate further, forgetting about the the cave-in that occurred, once I enter I can see the back of the rocks of what was the cave-in. Although I can't proceed because they are still blocking the way, you can't exit either. Just an FYI to any who go back there, don't save in there, or you'll probably get stuck.
You probably have to change the ID of one of the files in the games folder to force it to use the 2006 SKD instead of the newer one. Just a hunch. I have not tried it but that works for other mods that got broke with the new SDK.
Don't know where to use that key card. I used it on something, but it says its to dark and I can't find a light source. ARGH!

If your primary form of communication is through notes and notes only. Then you need to be 100% sure that your form of communcication is clear and straightforward.
Playing on 1920x1080 the notes were very hard to read. Not only did it hurt my eyes to read the text in general (and I have 20/20) it pained me to decipher the unique hand writing chosen. As such, I like others have failed to grasp the story attempting to be told. Which is clearly a shame since that is the major crutch of the game. Also exiting notes to explorer new areas was difficult once having activated a note. Make pushing e again exit the note as well as activate it.
Once these things are fixed I'd reconsider trying this potential good mod out.
The hints in Tab need to update more frequently to match what is going on in game. I'll pick up something that changes my objective and my Note to myself (TAB) still says the previous task/situation.
Hmm IDK if something went wrong but after I went into the woods to find my cheap date. The game quit to main menu. Was that the whole game? I don't feel like doing that whole Star Gazing scene again...
Would yall be willing to port Hidden Source to the Cryengin? Almost same concept as this.
I'm stuck at part 2. All that is happening is some thing is banging in the house and I have this gas tank but nothing to shoot it with or do.
