Yeah, I think they moved the tool sets. I can't find the ones that used to be on the pipes in Ranger Station. Same for Sawmill.
Every time I equip the SKS, the game crashes and I get this:
0023:08F5EB3C xrGame.dll, CDialogHolder::CDialogHolder()
Would someone explain to me why I can't use most 54r ammos for the mosin?
And why is it that every time I kill a squad of zombies/stalkers/bandits, they immediately respawn? I've cleared out Ranger Station and the Gas Station of bandits at least a dozen times each, and it's usually repopulated within 2 minutes.
this caused a crash:
~ cannot remove restriction with id [904][zat_b39_zone_mine_acidic_weak] to the entity with id [7105][dog_normal7105], because it is not added

I noticed some Johnny Cash, the Cure, and Massive Attack, but I really don't pay enough attention to give you song titles.
You guys royally ****** the Mosin. The 1st person model is that of an M38, but the inventory graphic and description shows an M1891/30. The bolt doesn't move when cycling the gun. It fires 7.62x39 instead of 7.62x54r. It's useless beyond 20 meters, as you're lucky if it hits. I actually get more accuracy with a corroded Maverick 88 with slugs. The iron sights are off, and I can't figure out just where it's shooting. This is, by far, the greatest frustration of playing this mod so far, other than the crap you did with the medkits making you black out and spawning bloodsuckers behind you EVERY time you use one.
For reference:
M91/30 3bxsofbs.infamousanime.net
M38 62x54r.net

Ok, getting "[error][ 8] : Not enough storage is available to process this command." and CTD from opening the configurations menu. I have 8g RAM, and can run Misery 1 just fine, so I seriously doubt RAM is the problem. What the hell?
XRengine CTDs upon opening configuration menu, but the process keeps running in the background so it doesn't produce a crash log.
I may be the only saying this, but I'm not kosher the changes to the zombies in the first and the upcoming Misery. In the first one, I could literally empty entire magazines of various weapons into their heads and they wouldn't even fall over. I anticipate much of the same in 2.0. Nonetheless, I find the changes to be unrealistic. Zombified STALKERs are just people with their brains wiped and reprogrammed. Shots that incapacitate or kill anything else in the game should do the same to them. Them being brain-dead doesn't make them immortal.
Homeworld will be on steam?! :D
Not a fan of the sounds, but, then again, I'm not a fan of the gun and explosion sounds in most games.
Nevermind, I figured it all out and got 0.3d up and running. can't wait to try everything out!
oh, and could I get a link to download 0.3d?
If I recall correctly, I just drop the mod files into ...Homeworld2/data, right? What shortcut commands do I have to use to activate the .big file?
Sorry, I just got a new computer and have been jonesing to fire up this mod again for the past year and a half.
I played the first Misery on a Compaq laptop with a ATI Radeon HD 4250 mobility integrated GPU, Single Core ASUS 1.8gHz of some sort, and 2G RAM at high graphics. That's an 8 year old laptop chipset. If it can handle it, your phenom can.
I am kind of worried about addition of "stealth." Stealth is perfectly doable in vanilla STALKER, albeit extremely difficult, as it should be. Every "stealth" mod I've played for SoC and CoP has involved making the AI chronically retarded, essentially. The thing I enjoy the most about the STALKER series is how intelligent the AI is compared to any other game you'll play. If you dumb it down to make a certain playstyle easier, you essentially destroy one of the most fundamental parts of this game.
Absolutely LOVE the original STALKER (movie) song in the beginning!
I played through the entire campaign on 3c, and can vouch that the second to last mission can be hard, but is doable. I had 12 battlecruisers on mine, and believe me is it a bitch... But it is doable. Focus on building bombers and ion frigates, and pretty much play is like guerrilla warfare. Run in, hit a BC hard, pop out, then finish it off with your bombers while your frigates jump in to hit another BC. Rinse and repeat, then you can focus on the smaller stuff... Or you can use the arty figs if you want to do it the easy way, but I got bored of that route.
Nice. I've wanted an SL8 for a while. Have you considered converting it over to a G36?
It's a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum. The weird looking part underneath the barrel is either a foregrip or a harmonics temper. The company printed on the side, Centra, makes parts for long range competition shooting... I don't know why you ask, though. Guns all have their make, model, and caliber printed on one side or the other, and is plainly visible on this specimen.
And can someone explain to me why every mutant has at least 50%+ immunity to explosives? How in the hell does that make any sense? A bullet does more damage than being riddled with jagged pieces of shrapnel that are about 5 times bigger and traveling at the same velocity as most higher velocity pistol rounds? The more I play this mod, and the more I dig through the files, the more I realize how the difficulty is faked with damages and immunities, while inflating the prices of medkits/ammunition.
Anyone remember FatRaps FPS Run n' Gun mod for SoC? The weapon damages and immunities made sense in that mod... In this mod, they do not. They are inconsistent, unrealistic (coming from a gun-owner and reloader), and ***-backwards. Most problems I have found so far are simple fixes, and I hope that the next patch will achieve them. Otherwise, you folks could have done much better.
I found the zombified stalker immunities folder, and I have to ask... who's bright idea was it to set their health regeneration so goddamned high? They literally regenerate faster than most damage they could conceivably take... after looking at this, and your weapon damage values, I would have to plow into their face with an entire magazine of 5.56 or buckshot ammo at near pointblank range...
After playing some more, I find the zombies to be retarded. They aren't anywhere near as accurate as other people are saying, unless I try sprinting right past them within 5 meters.., in which case I get lit up like christmas... but anyways, wtf is with them being immortal? I put my entire stock of ammunition into one zombie's head, and he just fell over. Tried grenades, knife, mosin nagant m39, colt 1911, usp45, AKM, ak-74u... nothing works... they just shuffle towards me and spray bullets across zaton like retards...
Also, I feel as I should note that my rig is a single core laptop, with 2g ram, ATI Radeon HD Mobility 4250 w/ shared cache, and the game runs very smoothly at 40fps in DX9... So I can attest that this mod won't blow up a budget netbook! :P
I played Misery for the first time a couple hours ago and wanted to say I love it. I ran with the sniper specialty and I am loving the mosin nagant, especially with the scope... That being said, I feel as though I should point out that the model/mesh used ingame is actually that of a M39, not the M1891/30. The ingame text lists it as a 91/30 (if I recall correctly, anyways) when in fact the barrel and barrel shroud is MUCH too short for 91/30. While not important in of itself, it would be a welcome correction in a future patch. Cheers! :)
No, it is a standard 30 round mag. Anyways, I think the CZ58 looks much better with the wood furniture.
No, P90s do NOT shoot plastic rounds. It shoots the 5.7x28mm cartridge. Military rounds are standard NATO Ball rounds. I don't know where in the hell you get your information from, but it is wrong.
