What's up with the file sizes?

Where's the serversettings file? I'm getting that "Waiting for 1 or more players to join" thing.

Haruun Kal, Rattatak and Yavin IV: Arena crash when I try to load them. Any idea why?

I'm using the Steam version of the game, but the same thing happens on the retail/disc version.

I've got a 1GB HD 5770 (Using the latest drivers) and I'm having the same problem as Barf_Vader. I've disable CatAI using your method and the game still crashes at 'Initializing menus' when using your mod.

Cool. You should've enabled them in the first place, though. It wasn't that creepy when I took the pic - no zombies or anything and I was running around in circles due to not being able to see a thing, lol!

Not just mods, sometimes the games themselves have problems. Trying to get the Steam versions KOTOR, The Bard's Tale and Beyond Good & Evil running was an absolute nightmare for me!

BTW, I was playing through D3 with the mod and I've noticed a few graphical glitches when SSAO is turned on:

Disregard my other comment. I was watching a Sikkmod vid on Youtube by a guy named lhilkid and someone in the comments asked how to get it to work on the Steam version and lhilkid said to go into the 'base' folder and make another folder called 'xpack' and then put the sikkmod folder in there. Then, when you start the game, go to Mods and select Sikkmod.

@Medevila: Turn off soft shadows in the Sikkmod menu, that stops the game looking like my first pic. It'll end up looking like my second pic, though.

I'm not putting up with it, btw. I too want a fix and I'll reinstall the mod once said fix has been released.

Edit: Do you have a 5770 as well?

So it turns out that Soft Shadows was causing the problem. Now that that's out of out the way, I found out that I can't actually use any of your graphics settings other than film grain and vignetting (Which I love, btw!). That and everything just looks weird and there seems to be this weird fisheye view as well. I can't use the mod at all, basically.

Oh and I tried what you said. Renaming the exe didn't work because the game wouldn't load and, while CatA.I. had been (and stayed) disabled when I set the .xml file to 'read-only', the game still looked weird. That was before I realised it was the soft shadows, btw.

Here's a pic of what it looks like now. This just has grain and vignetting on. Turn them off and it still looks weird. Also, you can't really make out the fisheye view, but it'd happen if I move around: Img819.imageshack.us

I've already done that (Hence why I said I turned it off), but it seems to be turning itself back on when the game launches because whenever I disable it in profile.xml, the game is still messed up and "Property name="CatalystAI" is set to 'Enable' again when i quit the game and check it.

I'm using notepad to edit the file, btw, and I'm using the 11.5 drivers (The latest one, I think).

I have Windows 7 64-bit with 4GB RAM. My game stutters and pauses a bit, so would this fix that?

Still getting missing textures and weird effects even with the new download.

I'm having the same problem as Ultizer. Some of the effects are messed up as well. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the demo and that didn't work. I'm re-downloading it as I type this.

Well, I can start the game now and get to the house. I can't load my save, though. I'll start a new game and see if that works.

Also, my firewall isn't blocking HL2 or Steam and I have 4GBs of RAM. I'm also running Windows 7 64-bit and have a 1GB Sapphire Radeon HD 5770. Every other game and mod works fine. Hell, this mod worked fine until the helicopter killed me! It must be a glitch or something.

Mod was really awesome up until I got to the part with the helicopter, which killed me. When the checkpoint restarted, 'hl2.exe has stopped working...' popped up. Now I can't even play the mod anymore because I keep getting that error message whenever I try to start it.

I downloaded the "Underhell Prologue 1.5 FULL (RAR)" file and I have Steam SDK Base '06 installed, btw.

Do I need Unreal Tournament 3 to play this?

So I installed the mod and everything's perfect...except for the weather. If it's raining, for example, and I save my game then it'll be sunny when I load that save.

Is there a way to fix this?

Please tell me that that grain effect/filter will be in the game!!
