I'm really interested in this mod, but uh...all the New Game options are grayed out an inaccessible. If I had to guess, it seems that you set Archive : The Fall to unlock along with everything else AFTER you complete Archive : The Fall. It unlocks when you complete it as far as I can tell. I love Max Payne 2 and I love stealth games and I love mods so I'm very into this concept but it's LITERALLY impossible to play.

It isn't dumbing down, it's actually a more complex and balanced system. Max isn't a space marine.
Does anybody know how this was done? I'd like to do this but with Hoboken Max, since I like the new face model, HD visuals, and mocap, but I hate the later outfits. Could somebody tell me how I could do this?
Hey, The_Silver, would it be possible to get this face as Max's head in this mod for the Enhanced Edition?
The guy who made it is a massive douche who thinks all player characters must be attractive and smooth even when they're in their mid-50's, but considering Max is younger in this game, it would make since for him to have a less wrinkled look.
Would a rough, vague ETA be out of the question? Nobody here would take it as a legit release date. You could even just say what quarter or whatever. Just an expectation at all would be nice.
By the way, what, again *roughly*, can we expect from this Enhanced Edition?
You do realize all they did was take the MP1 skin already in the game, right? Don't rate the mod based on a model they didn't make.

This has been shown before. Two years ago it was a very early concept and he trashed it. Maybe this was shown on the OTS mod and not this one, but yeah, The_Silver was working on a cover mod a while back but ended up trashing it.

Place the folder in sourcemods, not the zip file. THEN, restart steam.
My copy is missing a texture that makes it instantly crash.
Materials/console/startup_loading.vtf is what's missing. Does anybody else have this issue?
How about Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes that play like Max Payne 3?

El Mariachi? That's a Mexican restaurant where I live.
Put the files in the same folder as whatever engine you play DOOM and BRUTALDoom on (ex. Zandronum), then ctrl+click on all of the mutators you want along with your Brutal Doom executable. Then click and drag any of them over to the engine executable (again, for example zandronum.exe) and it will launch with them loaded.

The bit with changing weapons and coming out with the same weapon and less ammo is a glitch. However, the revolver staying is a restriction of the engine and semi-intentional.
This has been answered before.
I would say that the current average of 9 is best. Payne Effects 3 was slightly less ambitious, but due to the fact it didn't completely overhaul the game it was not plaugued by as many issues.
That isn't the case, apparently. I now have Doom 2 and it still doesn't work.
