Hell yes. Love you Goa, almost as much as your mod
Hell yes. Love you Goa, almost as much as your mod
Hey Goa, Probably an other dumb question, but is there a way to make light from civilization on worlds show up on the night side of planet skins from your mod like they do on the vanilla skins? or is that just part of the texture itself?
Awesome every thing is running smooth. Still can't comment on the Balance tweaks (only played an hour so far) but the shield update is great! Also I've heard about at least one mod on here starting work on Stellaris, and was wondering if you would ever have such an interest?
Hello, have an other dumb question :P Is the A.I able to use orbital artifacts? And on a side note about other structure mini mods like shield generators, if Advent and Vasari don't have an extra slot, could it be possible to re-purpose one already in use?
I love the new release so far, the new planets are a great addition, and the star fighter and resource adjustments have been stellar as well. And since there's all of this talk of way more cool stuff to come, could there possibly, maybe, be a way to add more than just vasari phase stabilizers to minimods? Would be awesome to build planetary shields with any race
Sorry should have been a little clearer. I know about the numbers you use for planet bonus and artifact density. I'm tweaking them for my own purposes and would like to increase the orbital structure density. Couldn't determine weather or not they were affected by planet bonus or artifact density
Hello random question. Is the spawn rate for orbital structures like phase tunnelers tied to planet artifact density or planet bonus density in the map script?
I have a bug where it seems that when random events are turned on, I get mini dumps. Might be the ram limit
Look left. Now look right. Now try doing both at the same time....
My only complaint about the Klingon titan is that A.I. players are useless and never use it right.
I could swear there was a mod for Armada 2 that it
Couple other things to try would be turning off a lot of non-essentials like planetary elevators, cargo ship icons, even team mesh colors. Also could try setting anti-aliasing to none and texture filtering to linear. Worse case try a smaller map and/or less opponents.
There's not one to my knowledge. As for playing with others, I'm not sure but I think who ever is hosting the game is the only one who has to change that setting in the map script.
If you're on windows 7, go to...
My Documents/ My Games/ Ironclad Games/ Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion/ Mods-Rebellion v1.80/ Startrek Armada 3/ Galaxy
There you'll find the scripts for the maps used in the mod.
Select the map you want to start a game on. It should open in note pad.
About it 8 lines from the top it should say randomizeStartingPositions TRUE
Change TRUE to FALSE and then go File/ Save
Start up sins and play around with it. It usually places players clockwise around the star system. In multi-star maps, the first 3 or 4 players start in the central system.
There's a planetary artifact you need to come across in order to use it.
It actually hurt a little to read this...
That dream is probably going to come true some time in 2014.
And Michael Dorn is still trying to get a Worf spinoff series
Drones sound great. They always talked about how robust Atlantis's defenses were with a full compliment. And Arcturus was a failed project to crate a better power supply. Ended up wiping out an entire wraith fleet and a whole planet of people. that would be a cool last-ditch tactic, but the former sounds much more versatile.
I had a teacher who used to say there is no such thing as a dumb question. Post up any time you need help
Yes, this mod is indeed awesome. There are versions for Entrenchment, Diplomacy, and Rebellion. It says in the mod title witch version it's for. Look for "Maelstrom Rebellion 1.04 R3" in the downloads section. Also should be the very first link in the box above your post. Keep in mind the Rebellion version is still a work in progress. Not all of the races have been added in yet and there are some random mini dumps every now and then.
lol it's a message board guy. I poked fun at you because it's funny. you poked back and it was funny. I poked again and it was funny. Now you're apologizing after we've poked at each other inside and out. I think we're past all that hand holding and flowers 'n ****. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to **** with you over it, and in turn you are well within your rights to defend it and call me a bitch.
And off-colored sheep like you will continue to find some thing to bitch about I'm sure. You're totally right though. There is a big difference between making a point and being a little bitch, that's why you shouldn't of posted in the first place. My point is, if this is a relevant argument, why is it you just spouting your opinion on here? about nothing to do with the mod? like that whole stupid halo wars argument? Weather it's valid or not, it's pointless. And makes you look like an even bigger fan boy in the end. Just sayin!
Seriously, why should any one get excited over any thing for any reason... every thing sucks because it's all been done before. In fact, we should all just quit eating and breathing because we've done it so many times that it's only obvious we're just milking this existence thing at this point.
Haaa... That's funny because you were one of the annoying pricks who made the fake accounts...
Wow. Really? That's funny because I just finished playing R8 with 6 AI at the hardest difficulty and me as the Trade Alliance. Pirates on. Normal Fleet supply. Huge multi-system. in 10 hours total. It was quit rough, no lie. A lot of mouse clicking in panic was had. In fact, I just finished a little bit ago and wanted to drop a compliment on an other good release just to stumble upon your comments. Funny how you, with the exact same game, and the exact same mod, are having such problems... And just about every one else, isn't... Could be the balancing... or Maybe you just need to learn how to micro manage a little better and quit blaming the mod that every one else has few problems with. Most of the issues you're whining about don't exist. And the couple points out of your whole list of complaints that might be arguable, aren't nearly as bad as you make them out to be. soase-maelstrom is very polite and professional on his boards. but I'm not. So long story short you suck at sins and it's not the games fault. Oh, and there's no limit on dreads. Because you should be using them. And by the time they start building up, you should be just about to win. /end_rant
