Nevermind. I realised you have to grab DukePlus and the new HRP seperately, install them first, then install DNE. Works perfectly now (Aside from the dreadful performance) but still fantastic work!
I'm having the same issue; can't boot up the came as it's unable to find my duke3d.grp. Also have the gog version.
I understand where you're coming from, but you need to put it in perspective; Halo Anniversary was done by a professional studio, their job is to develop games and get paid for it. On the other hand, Black Mesa was done by people who have other jobs and commitments who do this in their free time.
Considering they were able to achieve this with their team scattered across the globe, I'd say they more than deserve the money, I know they'll be getting mine. It's good to support indie developers like this, hopefully if any of them choose to push on in this industry Black Mesa retail can give them the funds and recognition they deserve for their next project :)
Good effort guys but I'm afraid it might be a little too late with Black Mesa now out in the wild. People who like a 100% classic Half-Life experience will enjoy this though I'm sure :)
Good luck guys, wish you the best for the project.
There's nothing wrong with the zip files, the mod is a 3.1 gig zip not 2.6. Sounds like you're missing a piece.
From the looks of things that might be the least of his problems :|
All that time hasn't garnered you any wisdom, that's for sure; you obviously have no idea what it actually takes to accomplish something like this. People, in their spare time, working to complete something completely and utterly free. They don't owe you or anyone else anything but they're still working hard to finish what they started.
That may never be? You can't be serious. Considering the amount of work they've already done and the fact it's perfectly playable (And the little fact of being completely independent; more or less funded by its buyers completely) they certainly deserve every penny. Good work Unknown Worlds.
Yep, remaking an entire game in ones spare time is such an easy task. Grow up.
Beretta my old friend! I hope your Christmas/New Years was wonderfully splendid and that everything else in your life has been just as good. How have you been?
Half Life: Gordon On Acid
Fantastic track! I second a download link :D
Amazing! Fantastic work slick!
Hah when I started reading it I thought you were joking...then I got worried...then I was relived to see it should be able to be fixed :D Good luck slick!
Looks fantastic. Definitively wouldn't mind giving the beta a try :D
Coop would be fantastic! Hope you guys decide to implement it :D
Out of all of them I'd go for Lurk. I haven't played SMP, only the original Oblivion Lost. Stalker complete certainly is a good mod on its own right, but I find Lurk to be that and so much more, and that the graphics are also still superior to Complete.
So lame it was awesome xD
Buy the retail version =)
I agree with Ghost; Maddie has got a life and by all means so should all of you, I doubt TRW is the centre of your universes so perhaps you should focus on something else. Seeing as he's the last left to work on the mod I'd say he's been doing a tremendous job for a FREE product. From what I hear most of the work is in its final stages so perhaps we'll see it soon =) Good luck with the rest of it Maddie
Hey slick I came across an old topic of yours on gamespot and I was wondering if by any chance you had any UD models for Half-Life lying around?
Definitely got mine as well that was fantastic! Nice work!
Looks fantastic =D! Lookin' forward to see how this mod pans out.
=0! Can't wait to try this out!
Let's see; we've got a box with explosive barrels and random combines that'll apparently be replaced with barneys which makes even less sense, random shots that have absolutely nothing to do with this mods "apparent theme" which look like they're screenies from HL2 maps anyway, and then this picture really puts the icing on the cake. This could just be the most fantastic mod ever made :0 Watch out Black Mesa: Source, you've got some competition now!
I'm sorry...but please...this is painful...if you can't spell Gordan Freeman right then you have no right making a Half Life mod lol. I don't mean to be offensive but I really hope this is some sick, twisted joke :\
Definitely installing Doom 3 again for this xD. Looks great =D!
Got banned by Daza for pretty much no reason? I know that feelin' :P Got banned back in 2005 from HIT 'cause daza had his periods. Wanted to say thanks for your model pack as well. Used to have a decent collection but lost it a little while back. Glad I don't have to singularly grab every one of 'em.
The funny thing is I was with you when you posted that message. I believe you played Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One, which is nothing like the on for the PC.
I'm quite sad to say that Beretta, our Co-leader has been kicked off the team. We are in need of a new Co-leader. Can you be a dedicated member to the C.H.A.O.S team, be there when needed? Drop me an email at Hughjhass35@gmail.com or catch me on MSN at Hughjhass35@hotmail.com
