Congratulations and thank you so much for pushing this through to release! Also, now we understand part of the delays were getting it on Steam as official DLC via Squix.

I certainly hope you get a slice of the sales driven by the mod :) Also, I hope this gets you a leg up on becoming official game developers!

err, as regards your marketing, I would suggest pinging a few streamers / Youtube reviewers as they need content to market their channels. At the least, that effort is easy on your time :)

Hi, just notifying you that this mod is showing up on the home page of Invisible War as well (but not the downloads page). I was going to run through IW just as a diversion and was really excited to see this mod there. But with no download there, I tracked it to over here and now I am disappoint for my IW plans :\

Why don't those idiots just subscribe to the dx-revision website's RSS feed? I'll be notified when it's released automatically, so I'm only here on moddb to add a little more support for them during the home-stretch phase.

Just adding some home-stretch support for the modders! I see it's in playtesting and I hope you're having a lot of fun with it :) When you're done with the tweaks I'll forward it to a couple of streamers (if I can stop playing it long enough) and hopefully they'll take it for a spin and show the world your good work.

Keep on keeping on and thank you for all of the hard work you've put in. Hope CC gets business from it :)

So, BETTER! :D Also, I really enjoyed the early release with the new UNATCO building and Hell's Kitchen. Nice designs that changed things up while not changing the gameplay or story a bit.

Just letting you know, still watching and anticipating :) Keep going, there are plenty of us who will be overjoyed to hear it's been released! I have plans to promote this to popular streamers on Twitch TV, so do a good job, 'cause your work might get a lot of recognition :)

Just wanted to throw in an encouraging word. We have not forgotten about you! The day this is released, I will post links to it for gamers on streaming sites that have mentioned being a fan of Deus Ex.

Of course, as many as can should go ahead and stream it themselves too. More attention for the awesome that is modding!

Just wanted to point out that the old NWVault site is being revamped and has no files available to download. There is another site - neverwintervault.org - which has a lot of the mods, but they're somewhat difficult to find and I haven't searched to see if these required mods are on there.

Just wanted to let you know.

Ooh, a question I have not seen answered. Will the installer handle Steam GOTY? I had to do some workarounds last time I got Revision + New Vision + Biomod + Kenties to work.

Hey guys, are you aware of this mod? UnifiedDeusEx - Moddb.com

They are basically integrating some of the backend mods, Shifter, Biomod 1.0, Kentie's DX10, and advertise their mod as compatible with Revision. I wanted to bring it to your attention to see if it looked that way to you too, since you're integrating some of the same mods, but going with DX9 instead of 10.

Thanks for all of your hard work, and I'll be happy to put in a donation when it comes out!

Nice, a website update! Love the Development Progress section, that's awesome. I work for a company which has trouble using task management for software development, so I love seeing people just do it 'cause.

I hope Caustic Creative turns into something good for you all - you deserve it for taking Revision this far!

Wooo Revision release is approaching! While I'm excited and really anticipatory, please go ahead and take the time you need to get it right! I just "finished" Human Revolution and am disappoint, so it's great to see I'll be able to play the original again.

One question - I liked using Biomod, a port of Shifter, because it had a better skill tree, better aug energy management, and you could pull yourself up onto things. I checked the mod and apparently not only has it been updated, but the author is running Revision + New Vision + HDTP with it.

I just wanted to ask if you guys have had occasion to test that mod out with Revision?

Just abandoned Stalker:SOC due to the ease of defeating the AI and am moving to CoP, so the first thing I went looking for was an AI / general upgrae mod. Thanks for taking the time to make this for people like me! I will play with this mod only for a bit and post back with any bugs I find.

I do have a question about the full download + the patch. The patch says "Pripyat Reborn 1.12 and 1.13.2". Is that supposed to say "Pripyat Reborn 1.13"? I'll try it regardless :)

Hi, just playing SoC for the first time after watching a Let's Play. I am really liking the gameplay as in my first 5 minutes in stock Stalker I was very disappointed with the enemies and went looking for a mod :)

I am having one odd issue with the graphics, and hopefully someone can help me address it. When the sun is out, most everything looks great, except the shadows are a little too dark. I can live with that, but when it gets overcast, everything turns incredibly dim and dull - like my eyes have lost the ability to see color without sunlight. In that condition, the shadows may as well be pitch blackness, I can't see any details of anything in them, just vague shapes.

I've tried the gamma, contrast and brightness settings, but they don't seem to address the problem without messing up the look of everything else. I am using a Radeon 6950 with the latest drivers, and my monitor has a brighter, more colorful game setting I use with Stalker.

As you know, you can see perfectly well in overcast conditions, our pupils open up to keep the light level constant, and you can see clearly into shadows because the difference in light levels is actually less when it's overcast than when the sun is out.

So this is weird-looking and hard to play when overcast. I'm hoping it's just something with my settings or machine. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Just uninstalled DX:HR (couldn't handle the console gameplay feel) and am looking for some of that old-fashioned DX action. I last tried Revision years and what you had finished was terrific. I am really glad to see you're not only still going, but almost finished! Fantastic!

When this releases, I will be happy to pop you a vote for most awesome modders evahr :)

Hey, been playing FO3 with FWE mod. Yours looks similar in some ways but better in the ways I like :) I'm very happy to see someone still working on realism mods, as I am playing for the first time and really like the survivalist game.

I wanted to ask if you would consider loot changes such as making the common guns more primitive versions / generally junkier in ways that are harder to fix? I would think that there'd still be a lot of old guns around, but many would have been repaired with junk and there'd be a lot of homemade weaps like zipguns and pipe rifles. Plus bows / crossbows etc.

I'd also like to suggest more realistic repair, such as weapons have damage to different parts (barrel, receiver, trigger mechanism, stock) and you need to find a weapon with a good piece to repair it with.

Also, not sure if you support handloading, but better use of comps would be great. Can't make shotgun shells without a toy car, even though I have cans of BBs? Can't make BBs out of tin cans? (yes you can, easiest thing in the world - melt 'em and drip the metal through a hole into water). Same with making bullets - high-velocity rounds are aluminum, so tin cans + bullet mold = reasonable substitute lol.

Scavenging lists need major help too - copper piping and wiring are common and useful for making bullets / repairing electronics n'stuff.
Lots more to say but you've got your own todo list, so I just wanted to put these in as ideas for you. And thank you for being a modder - it's you guys that show what can really be done with a game.

Depends on your version where DX keeps the files. Check the program's System directory for ini files too. For example, the DX GOTY from Steam keeps its files in My Documents/Deus Ex, but there's also a copy in the games' System directory, and that's where some mods look for the ini files. So I just make everything work in the My Docs location then copy the files over to the game's System directory and everything works :)

Nice mod idea! I'm waiting for the release version, but in the meantime, I'd like to ask that you consider checking compatibility with Biomod (which is Shifter 1.8.4 based). I had installed Shifter a few days ago and liked the changes, but I installed Biomod today and wow, big change for the better!

So now any mod I think I'd like to try out, I'll be checking for Shifter / Biomod compatibility! So please consider it :)

Ok. Biomod plus Shifter = Major Awesome. Excellent upgrade to Shifter, takes a lot of the unnecessary work out of playing, esp. when you have to fight the major baddies like Walton Simons.

I was afraid this would make the game too easy-mode, but as the author says, you end up actually fighting through the stuff that used to kill you and make you load from a save. So it's a lot more fun to play with Biomod, and yes you can still be killed - just ask the damn sniper that headshot me down in 1 round after I bumped into him coming around a corner lol.

Thank you for putting in the work to make this happen! Eidos should integrate these mods and throw you guys some money for it, the cheapskates :)

Question for Deus Ex modders - how difficult would it be to add the following?

1. More available items to shop NPCs?
2. Shop dialogues to various NPCs
2. the ability for JC to sell weapons, ammo and gear he picks up to shop NPCs? Or collect bounties for "turning in confiscated equipment" when dealing with official agencies :)

The purpose is to let the player trade in stuff they won't ever use for stuff they use all the time. For instance, since my current guy is a stealth/nonlethal weapons / pistol / demolitions guy, I would dearly like to be able to resupply on tranq darts, prod chargers and grenades of various types, and I wouldn't mind having to haul some weapons / ammo back to the vendor for the privilege.

Any help would be great!
D
