There is a difference between inventing science to explain future technologies which today make no sense, and changing established science with no explanation.
The biggest difference between sci-fi and fantasy in my opinion has more to do with internal consistency and explanations than the actual science involved.
Strange phenomenon with explanations are sci-fi otherwise they are fantasy.
That gives me what I wanted. I was kinda hoping there was a series or something to ease me into the world. (Shrug)
Please tell me that if gnomes exist then the are the most evil race.
Is this world based on a series or is it your own?
I don't know if I am missing something, but I can't get the hero units as Alliance (only game I started on new version).
Some of the other mods I've seen, like Homeworld 2, had Geth as a faction. They have roughly the same number of in game ships in ME(not including one off ships) as the Alliance, or any other faction for that matter.
From a military standpoint, I think that the healing and surrender of the Founder played little role in the war outside of giving the viewers an ending.
The Alpha Quadrant probably did not have the strength to invade the Gamma Quadrant and the wormhole was closed to the Dominion's forces. If the Dominion wanted to send another expedition fleet they would have to send it the long way and hope it got there without detection and intact.
The Breen would probably have to surrender to the combined alliance and much of Cardassia Prime would be slag.
The Founders would all die and that might end the conflict as the 'gods' of the Dominion would not be able to command their followers to continue the fight. On the flip-side, the Dominion might try to finish the final orders of the Founders in something like a religious war which may or may not die out.
Are you guys planning on adding the 40000 Sins Chaos Titan idea?
I am quite disappointed that you did not get a morale debuff (which lasts until the end of your next combat) at the end for violating tombs :P
Are you guys planning on having Warhawks too? Or would you just use the Eagle model?
I didm't realize ME had Irish people. I'm going have to replay it now and find them.
Loving this but I have some issues.
1) AI not expanding. I have only played 2 games so far to see what was put in with a total of 4 normal AIs and only 1 AI expanded, even after I cleared out neighboring militias.
2) The quarian liveships also have fighters but cannot build any (like the starbase).
3) I am not sure if this was intentional but the Council does not have access to turian/human frigates (I am not counting the Normandy and the Talon as neither one was much used by the respective fleets). I got the impression that while the backbone of both militaries were cruisers they still had large numbers of frigates.
4) Wandering fleets that just....wander. In my last playthrough all of the wandering fleets (batarian & reaper) did not stay to attack any planet they came too, they just kept on a specific path and autofired on ships which got into their arcs.
Updates looking great!
Is THLD 2 in Russian or English? I know the forums are in Russian but...
There is a mod (Maelstrom) that has a faction that is all ships from Homeworld 2.

I am assuming you meant 'bugged raids' not 'buggered raids.' Normally I ignore typos but this one stands out.
Is Cerberus still the only faction close to completion?
Is the Quarian colony ship supposed to be useful as a combat ship?
I think it is a titan in this for one of the Alliance factions.
Have you ever tried any 1v1 ship combats? They tend to go on forever.
....Please Poptart Cat Chaos Titan
I agree with Megas. As I understand it, the best way to view stuff on a computer is yellow text on a dark blue background.
...Poptart Cat will always be better
Here I thought the difference between a democracy and a republic was the existence of those representatives....
Some of those upgrades were used in other ships than the Normandy.
"Only 11 months after the battle, the turians produced the Thanix, their own miniaturized version of Sovereign's gun. The Thanix can fire reliably every five seconds, rivaling a cruiser's firepower but mountable on a fighter or frigate. "
This is from the codex about the Normandy SR2 weapon upgrade.
