Warsword Conquest fans and lovers!
I know that many of you, seeing this update in their ModWatch, are going to think that we arefinally releasing the new version.
Well, it's an "half truth".
While we were testing the "beta" of the new release, these days, we've been noticing some problems around some areas of the map. Nothing game breaking fortunately.
But, among the various little bugs and issues, a possible source of a new unbalanced situation showed its ugly face out of the dark.
As a matter of fact, Chaos, after the addition of Kislev, seems to be a isolated from the others, with Bretonnia, the Empire and Kislev developing a high pressure rate on its borders. We have just solved the Dwarven situation, reworked their balancement and that of the other factions/races to make Warsword Conquest a really enjoyable experience . That's why this new possible situation worries us so much.
Now, here comes the important part, so please, lend me your attention and evaluate this proposal very very carefully.
If we were to delay the mod's release for 10 days from our prefixed time to
give us some more time to solve the problems
BUT
as a reward for your patience, add in the mod Vampire Counts (Sylvania),
Would you accept it?
We know you have been waiting for this release for so long, and that's why, with the rising of a possible delay, we'd like to know if you are ok with this.
If you're going to accept our proposal, you'll be getting a cleaner new release and a fourth new faction (which is going to be 95% perfect as we would need more time to make a new Vampire skin. So the vampires are going to be skinned like humans and a proper skin is going to come. The rest it's already there) or a faster release with some bugs still left unsolved and the three planned new factions (Beastmen, Kislev, Nippon).
Please, comment to this article and let us know your opinions, as we are asking you to decide.
For the sake of clarity, let us treat this as a poll, so write "YES" if you want to sign this little gentlemen's agreement of ours, or "NO" if you want the release fast and quick.

Just for clarification that is 10 more days beyond the time needed to fix the current issues, not 10 days from now. We hope to fix the current issues by the weekend but we can never be sure until we have retested.
So nameless, Have you guys already been doing testing with the vampires added in? or is it a whole new ballpark which will needs its own testing and bug fixes?

so if i may ask wich date is it going to be released, or if it is not sure yet can you give a speculation?
Btw is it going to be a new version of the mod or a very big patch, so if its a new version do i just delete the old one and install thisone?

10 days from what we roughly intended as a possible release date, let's be clear about this.
So you guys seem concrete on 10 days(after the original intended time). being the case that this is the only time you have given us a concrete number for this update does that mean you guys have already tested the vampire counts with the latest version? If not then Im worried it might end up being extended past 10 days due to even more new bugs
Just take the time you need to do whatever you intend to do, its your mod first and foremost, we are just the lucky bastards who get to play it.
Delay as much as you want, just keep us informed.

No, at this point the new release has taken so long I'd rather just have a playable version than wait for bells and whistles, frankly I'm losing interest.

It's 10 days after whatever it takes to fix what needs to be fixed. At the current release rate who knows how long that is.
By the sound of it, the current bugs should take til the weekend
I think you're under estimating the time it takes to fix bugs, and the rate at which the Warsword team works (or restricted time available to work on the mod).
My guess is 20 days. 10 days for bugs, 10 days for the rest.
you're great example, how fast everything have to be nowadays. People are loosing patience, but complaining about titles, which was rushed out and have bugs overall.

I'd say yes if we can get some kind of release date. 10 days from day that was meant to be the release date we never told is kinda vague :D Yes in case it means release before march, no in case it takes longer.
So much I want to try in the new release I don't personally care much about the Vamps, but for the sake of a better overall mod take the time needed ;) so YES
