Modder for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia, Crysis series, some of which have won Crytek community awards (most popular) while one of my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods has been featured in German PC gaming magazines "PC Games" and "PC Action". Many thanks to SetaKat and david.m.e for teaching me all the tricks to modding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I'm an amateur programmer. The only honest hardware/game reviewer in the world, see GND-Tech.com (worthy mods may even get an article), Stalker.wikia admin, Cooler Master product beta tester, etc. I write coherent reviews for mods on ModDB. I mostly play Dragon Age series, Mass Effect series, The Elder Scrolls series, 3D Fallout series, Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions, KOTOR series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia and SOMA. But I'm always up for some Natural Selection 2, No More Room in Hell, Killing Floor 2, and Serious Sam HD. I only play PAYDAY 2 and ArmA 3 privately, join our community at GND-Tech.com if you'd like to play with us.

It is now 2016 and Underhell Prologue + Chapter 1 is still clearly the best total conversion mod I've ever played.

Has anyone ever played Lost Alpha on an OLED TV? Must be mind blowing.

I thought Penumbra and Amnesia: The Dark Descent were without a doubt the top two best horror games ever made, yet somehow SOMA tops them in pretty much every regard. It's a spectacle, maybe even a once in a lifetime game sadly, and it's what makes horror a worthwhile genre. Tell your friends about this game!

Hey I got your comment, sorry for the late response. The extra guns can't be added since they are incompatible. Someone would have to make new animations for them.

To add, this is my second time installing Morrowind and these mods, and it's on a freshly installed version of Windows 7 this time too (just installed it a week or two ago). I guess I'll just have to play without MCP.

MCP does have an ESP. How should load order be? Granted I've tried it both above and below Morrowind Rebirth so it doesn't matter I suppose.

Thanks for the grass mod. While it doesn't change much at all, it works at least.

MCP still doesn't work for me, not with Rebirth that is. I use the Steam version if that matters. I ran the MCP exe and reinstalled its patches after enabling Rebirth and generating distant terrain in MGE XE.

Yeah I think I just need to run MCP again, I'll try it out. As for that grass mod, what a mystery! No pictures on nexus. I'll try that too. Too bad Vurt's doesn't work, that's my go-to guy for Bethesda game vegetation mod since he's incredibly talented.

Nevermind, that issue is solved by changing the file extensions to lower case. However, despite my load order, this mod and Morrowind Code Patch are not working together. It's one or the other. Any way to fix this?

Also, does anyone know of a compatible grass mod besides MGSO? Vurt's is not compatible; the grass floats in the air a bit above the ground. I'm also using MGE XE.

Strange - the main Morrowind Rebirth ESP as well as Balmora's Underworld don't show up in Morrowind Mod Manager for me. They show up in the launcher -> Data Files however?

Is your GPU downclocking to 2D speeds? If so, set Power Management to Prefer Maximum Performance in NVIDIA Control Panel or NVIDIA Inspector (in Global Profile). After making this change and hitting Apply you have to reboot your PC for the changes to take effect.

I ran it on an i5 760, GTX 680, and 8GB RAM with no issues. So almost the same PC, the CPU was at 4.2 GHz however and the RAM was DDR3 1600 CL9.

Hmm... I doubt a lot of progress has been made on chapter 2 due to the revised chapter 1 and prologue. Chapter 2 will most likely come out on Steam though, either initially or shortly after release.

Hey Mxthe, have you ever shown Underhell to any game publishing studio?

Any chance that Director's Cut will have dynamic/changing anomaly spawns like Oblivion Lost and other mods?

Yeah definitely, otherwise just back up your save files.

Although if you're at 1080p and running a 780 Ti, 980 Ti, Titan X, and some of the flagship AMD cards, you should be fine with max shadowmap size + grass shadows (no slowdowns on 780 Ti, significant ones on 980).

Yeah I assume that's because X-Ray runs on one core, or maybe two at most (I forget). Single threaded performance is most important for X-Ray.

980 Ti should do the trick since it's actually better than the 780 Ti in almost every way. On paper the 780 Ti is actually faster than the 980 in most ways, so on the other hand it's weird that the 980 is faster in just about every game (Lost Alpha being an exception).

"Gameplay improvements"

I'm really curious as to what these can be. Underhell's gameplay is already damn near perfect, from the shooting mechanics to the survival mechanics.

Also I hope Source 2 uses OpenAL. I'm not sure if it's possible to get HRTF working in older versions. Can anyone confirm or deny if HRTF works in Underhell?

boredgunner @ Lost Alpha: Director's Cut - Atmosphere

With greatly enhanced A-Life and more content, Lost Alpha would be the most atmospheric game. The level design actually exceeded my really high expectations; this aspect alone is flawless.

Really weird that this mod runs much better on a GTX 780 Ti than a GTX 980, at least for me. My GTX 980 performance is almost the same as my GTX 680 performance, which is very poor performance.
