REQUIRES TUROK 2 PLUS MOD. Use this at your own risk. This is an addon for Turok 2 Plus mod that removes the double jump and reduces movement speed closer to the original non-remaster speed. This sacrifices some of the combat awesomeness of Turok 2 Plus, but it removes level shortcuts that were added by both Nightdive's remaster (which in itself increases movement speed) and Turok 2 Plus. It also moves the sacred eagle feather on level 3 back to its original location, since the Turok 2 Plus location requires double jump.
This addon also increases difficulty by reducing movement speed, but not to an unreasonable degree considering most or all enemy projectile speeds are unchanged so they're designed around movement speed like this anyway. The biggest difficulty increase will come from the many bigger enemy mobs and the projectiles that now arc towards the player, like on level 5.
So if you don't care about the new level shortcuts, then disregard this addon. If you're curious about the shortcuts, Nightdive's remaster adds the following shortcuts due to its increased movement speed and climbing feature:
- You can obtain the level 3 sacred eagle feather earlier
- You can access the true warp portal on level 4 earlier due to a convenient shortcut
- Various insignificant pickups on levels 3, 4, and 6 can be accessed earlier
Turok 2 Plus adds many more shortcuts due to further increased movement speed and double jump, and also lets you obtain the level 2 primagen key without the level 3 talisman (flamethrower becomes the main reason to backtrack on this level with the level 3 talisman). Experienced players likely welcome these shortcuts though, so if that's you then definitely ignore this addon.
The first level 6 key in level 5 is not reachable with this since the base plus mod lowers the platforms used to reach requiring a double jump and ledge grab.

I did a full play through with this mod, and found 2 things.
1. In level 6, in the 2nd area, in the room over a bottomless pit right before where the teleporter to the next area is, and the room that requires the eye of truth talisman, if you don't make it across by riding the bridge when it retracts or die before you re extend it since the vent area is not accessible in the base plus mod, you soft lock since the bridge doesn't seem to extend again even after I reset the map.
2. This one is not at serious, but I felt I should mention it. in level 5, after you get the first level 6 key, go through the teleporter and reach the big open area where you have to jump down and across a few platforms, the last jump that you make which leads to a door requires a somewhat precise strafe jump and ledge grab since the floating platform that was there in vanilla is missing.
I hope my descriptions are good enough for you to find these 2 issues.
