Top S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods = NLC 7 Build 3.0, OGSR, Oblivion Lost Remake, Goldsphere
It's finally done. My complete review of SOMA:
I haven't been this impressed with a game in some time. What's most impressive is that despite my endless praise for Penumbra and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA shows significant improvement in every regard. Far more detailed environment, some of the most amazing art design I've ever seen in a game, much more polished, much more character interaction + voiced protagonist, almost every enemy you see in the game is unique with much more voice clips and animation and less predictable AI, much scarier gameplay, mind blowing sound design + the best sound effects I've ever heard in a game, but most importantly a powerful, thought-provoking, and very human story. It's everything that makes the horror genre special.
Our picks.
Congrats to the creators of Underhell and Misery 2.0, as well as all other hard working modders. Keep up the good work! We look forward to what lies ahead of us in 2014.
There are many myths surrounding the gaming industry. Don't be fooled into believing them!
Don't miss out on any of our other recent articles.
For those who haven't seen, check out the latest product from Frictional Games, the developers of the groundbreaking Penumbra franchise and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It's called SOMA.
The latest installment in the well received Amnesia franchise is finally here. Unfortunately, it doesn't really feel like an Amnesia game or even a horror game. It feels like another product of thechineseroom; a phenomenal story experience (one of the best), with very little actual gameplay. See my full review here:
Not that I have anything to do with such a masterpiece, but for those who live under a rock, get Underhell NOW!
In short, it's the best thing that happened this year, at least in the video game industry. It's a 20 hour psychological horror, survival horror, and stealth mod, though "mod" is hardly the appropriate term for it. Check out this review and these videos of it.
For those who live under a rock, PAYDAY 2 just came out. It's a must-have for any and every PC gamer.
