Actually, I love that outfit and do think it's suitable for a daughter of the north from a land where the Nord berserkers run around naked in the snow. But yeah, I could give her an alternative outfit as well for those players who want that part of immersion. There is lots of well-made stuff for Skyrim and it's going to be a fun experience to add more too. She has both heavy and light armour perks, so the one she has now, can be her light outfit; and I'll give her a heavy too.

The Witcher 2 is in a league of its own. I wish the Elder Scrolls would concentrate on the PC first and foremost too, for optimal results, but that's probably wishful thinking. I don't know about the modding for Witcher 2 either, but I can swear that the Elder Scrolls has the best community and tools around modding I've ever seen and that's what's keeping me producing stuff for the games.

I've been modding games since the 90's and I've always done it just for fun. Still today. I am not doing it for fame or pay, but for fun, like most modders. Seeing my own creation come alive within the games I love and then share the experience with other gamers is FUN. And fun is actually pay enough for me. I do not need to be called professional, I know I'm an amateur, but I am still affecting the lifespan of my favourite games in a positive way, and contributing to their existence and popularity.

I am very happy about the great tools we get these days making life so much easier, but it was just as much fun yesterday as it is today. The games I mod are created by people who understand the value of including modding tools and abilities in their games, since mods contribute such a lot to them and make them live on. People will be modding games that were released in the early 00's for years to come, depending on the tools released, lengthening the lifespan of the game and actually increasing sales. We modders serve a valuable purpose, whether we are aware of it or not.

This is pretty much the finalized map. I need to fill this now with more villages, castles, dungeons, landscaping..., then do the quests and then release the Full Version of the mod. Then I can add more stuff in expansions when that is done.

It is. But to speed it up a bit, I mark a tree, press Ctrl+D to create a copy of it, drag it out and place it. The real problem is that a forest needs different kinds of trees to really look good, so I need to vary it a bit too. Also, I always paint black shadows under each tree...

I found a bug in the western parts of the continent. The Zerghdun Bandit camp is hanging in the air. This is a result of the massive new land being added in the west and land being lowered slightly in the area of the camp. It's not a major bug though, since all the bandits in the camp still attack the player as he approaches, it only looks real bad. It will be corrected ASAP. The little lake created by this bug right beside Zerghdun looks cool though and can stay in the update too. ;)
