I am a one-man modding army. I do this for fun and for the love of games and gaming. Not for profit. Games are art. They are culture. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise. This is NOT an "industry". I am the Creator of Fairy Tale for Civilization IV (2010), Dibella's Watch for Oblivion (2011) and Frontier for Skyrim (2012-13).

I am one of those unfortunate who haven't played Mafia, although my brother's been recommending it for ages. I intend to get the game just for this mod, so I will be a prime example of a mod leading to sale. I wish more game developers would make their games moddable, because moddability sells copies! Keep it up, gentlemen!

I swear by these trees and use them in my Frontier mod too. They're really great to work with. Nice to see them here on ModDB too!

It entirely depends on how fast I work. Since it's only me doing it, it's hard to say, and I'm not stressing it either, but putting a lot of attention into detail. The fact is, that I'm currently working on the very last fourth of the exterior which is planned to be ready for the beta, so that's why I can at least say - soon. :)

The bulk of the Frontier legions consist of heavy infantry. Each legion has archers attached, as well as cavalry and auxiliaries.

I like the vanilla Imperial armour very much too. It's a bit more like in Morrowind than Oblivion's Legion armour was.

Naah, you ain't got issues, for the fall of the Roman Empire is the most debated historical topic in western history. I bet you've read it already, but for anyone else with an interest in the area, I can recommend Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, written in the 18th century, actually, which is a great beginning for those who want to learn more about this topic. You'll also learn a lot about 18th century thinking too, since the author is really modern with some surprisingly modern thoughts and opinions.

Whyever would I do that? There's no reason to go into a digression about the history of Rome on a fantasy mod page; the fall of Western Rome and Byzantine history. Most people think of Rome as it was during its height with Caesar, Augustus and Trajan, they think of Gladiators, togas and Cleopatra when I mention Imperial Rome, and most people can relate to what I mean when I talk about the "the Empire surviving into the Middle Ages" and just mentioning Imperial Rome creates certain images in peoples' minds.

I am covering the Legion pretty well in this mod. I have their armours already in-place as well as their legion camps. The entire Legion of Frontier is based exclusively on the RL Roman Legions; the camps look like actual Roman camps and so on. The armours the legionnaires wear, were planned so that they would look like something real Roman soldiers could have worn if the Empire had lived on into the middle ages. In Frontier, there are three border legions protecting the northern frontier with the barbarians, each inhabiting a military camp.

I have a rather different take on history. I see it as filled with great examples of unselfish sacrifice, sharing and truly heroic deeds. History is actually what makes me believe that mankind is actually good, whatever egos like Aristotle and Caesar tried to portray. It makes me believe in the advance and evolution of the human race and that we're all worth more than $2,50 a day.

True democracy, sharing and solidarity is not at all utopian. I see it every day, not only in the modding world, where it is very evident, but also in my RL. I for one, naively, believe in the basic good of mankind, and that is also why I believe that true democracy, sharing and solidarity is indeed achievable, in fact, it is very much the way mankind naturally is striving. It is evolution. Just because our world is full of false dollar-smiles right now, hiding the tears of the millions of crying, doesn't mean that mankind won't grow up one day, and stop being the spoiled teenager it is now, to create better systems, economic and political, systems that the modding world is actually an early example of. Capitalism is offering mankind nothing and has no solutions but oil wars, poverty, homelessness, fear and all the other things that are hidden under Ronald McDonald's plastic smile where the strong eat the weak according to the old laws of the jungle. It supplies endless riches to a few selected just because the vast majority is suffering. Capitalism is holding us back. It has proven itself, just like communism did, and just like communism, it needs to go right into history's rubbish bin. Man, I do agree with you on your last point there - people do need to start thinking for themselves.

"Real Capitalism" seems to me to be just as utopian as "real Communism", because if you read Das Kapital you'll also see that real communism is a far cry from what we saw in the Soviet Union, for an example. The point is, that if something doesn't work, mankind will find other systems that work better. It is my firm belief that the end days of Capitalism are soon upon us and that we will now start creating a world with true Democracy, sharing and solidarity. People are waking up - Theon expresses it - and some of us are not buying into the lying, selfish, corrupt culture with false, pasted-on dollar smiles anymore.
