I am a one-man modding army. I do this for fun and for the love of games and gaming. Not for profit. Games are art. They are culture. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise. This is NOT an "industry". I am the Creator of Fairy Tale for Civilization IV (2010), Dibella's Watch for Oblivion (2011) and Frontier for Skyrim (2012-13).

Good stuff! ModDB SHOULD feature this in their front page rotator too. They're known to take a stand for freedom of speech. I will write them a mail or PM, and maybe more of you can do so too to get them going.

The Frontier is in its own worldspace. I hear there's a Tamriel-mod-project being created though which will add the whole landmass of Tamriel. You might check that out, becuase it would be quite awesome to sail about in Tamriel.

The Frontier is an independent colony as it is. It was founded by Imperial colonists after the Oblivion Crisis 200 years ago. It hasn't been of any significance up until now and the attempts to join the colony formally with the Empire have failed because of uninterest in Imperial City. The Thalmor are now showing an interest in The Frontier, however, which also has led to The Empire opening their eyes. The stage is set for some interesting political developments. Long Live The Empire!

Yes. They are good games, made for the profit of mega-corporations, and as long as they profit, all is good and flowery, but when a team of persons get together and try to build something which is non-profit but just fun and creative, they're being served Cease & Desist. I still can't get it around my mind how they try to "own" Tolkien's work. He's a dead author. I know that when I die, I would rather have the world and the people "own the rights" to my works than some filthy corporation. What I do with my work during my lifetime is another thing though.

In my mind, you've been attacked by corporate fascists and your democratic freedom of expression has been violated with that Cease & Desist. That's the way I'm thinking. Then again I am indeed an idealistic minuteman on a disproportionate crusade.

Sorry for taking this somewhat off-topic and involving the world situation. I do wish you the best. I've been following the project for years and I've seen the talent, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you all will do next. :)

Call me over-dramatic, but the fact still stands that these mega-corporations are killing creativity with their greed. The bankers and the fatties in the board rooms are the ones responsible for the economic situation in the world because of their greed. These people are not only killing creativity, they are also killing people. Tolkien's stories belong to the people, and will do so when the world is set right. Accepting their corporate slavery and limitations is effectively accepting their world where 22.000 children die each day of easily curable diseases while those corporate arses place their energy and resources on things like this, and then, still, move their holy corporations abroad when the situation doesn't suit them. That's what ****** me.

WB and their corporate slaver fellows are trying to kill creativity itself. In reality, the "rights" to Tolkien's world and creations belong to the PEOPLE WHO LOVE IT and not to any faceless, blood-sucking, perverted and greedy corporation. The mind is our weapon, creativity is our armour, people, and that's what they're trying to take away from us.

That's what I'm planning. The player will own his own castle and add upon it. There will also be land around it where a village will be built. The player will fund the castle with regular money, but the building of the village will be funded in a slightly different manner. I did something quite similar for Oblivion, but I didn't go all-in with it I feel, so I'm doing it now :)

Well I for one hope it's good news. Like someone's offered them to do a standalone game, or something to that magnitude. I've been following this project for years and it's come a long way even after jumping over to Skyrim and it's always been impressive and an inspiration.

The colours you see in the screenshots come from the fact that I'm using a mod called Realistic Lighting with Customization. It's not perfect, but they're working on it, and I've been following it for quite some time. I hope it'll end up splendid so my screenies will look better too.
