ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.
Just to give people some context, the ductwork on the right side of the pic is piping connecting water tanks (below the floor and above the ceiling) to the ship's rockets (hidden under the ducts). A pump will bring the water to the rockets, which will superheat it and propel it out at high speed, thereby pushing the ship. This will gradually use up the water, which will need to be refilled.
On the left upper half of the screen is air cooling (to keep the rockets from overheating the engine room), and a CO2 scrubber and oxygenator (so the crew can breathe in the ship without space suits).
These are all actual game mechanics that will be implemented!
Also, the non-duct things on the wall in the right side of the pic are diesel engines and batteries (there will be bigger and better engines in the future). The diesel engines will charge the batteries, which will be used to power weapons, terminals, and components throughout the ship.
Took me a few hours, but I just made a ship specifically designed to destroy you huge ships, Insolent! 8 meter thick bulkhead at the front and the whole lower deck consisting of fueltanks and engines to power the Eight Lasers of the Apocalypse. Too bad we can't have a duel..
Interior shot of the Splattering Ram, an Insolent creation.
The actual ship is much larger than this - 4-5 main rooms with countless weapons control rooms off to the side.

CMDKeen - I'd love to see your ship! If you send me some screen shots, I'd be more than happy to post 'em up here for everyone to look at!
Cheers,

Too bad we can't have a duel YET, you mean. Give Dirkson a few weeks - then you'll see the folly of your design, CMDKeen!
Does this mean we can fly the ships soon? :o
