Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last several days. I've been a little busy recently and haven't been online much. I'm pretty much just jumping online to copy over this blog and taking off again. I should get things back up to speed a few days after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I'll quit rambling and show you this week's blog.

Ryan3k:By the time I post this it should be Wednesday here on the East coast. I got a few things to mention for this week's blog. But keep in mind that things have temporarily calmed seeing as how Thanksgiving is coming up and people are busy with other things, at the moment!

First off, I must announce that the two official APB servers (MP-APB and MP-APB-NEW) have been merged into a single 50-player server comprised of both old and fan-made maps. Usually only one server would fill up with players at any given time, so this is a way to make things a bit more efficient. We encourage everyone to sign up at the official APB server forums at MP-GAMING.COM.

MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD ALL OF THE FAN-MAPS! GET THEM AT GAME-MAPS.NET!

Naamloos (AKA Nubcake) has released a new version (1.0) of "Hostile Waters," featured in last week's blog. It features "Gamebreakers," which are nifty units that can annihilate a base if used correctly. If you're curious, download the map! It's currently in the rotation of the official server, so you're gonna need it, anyway. And a friendly tip: these "Gamebreakers" will cost you 10,000 credits! Use them wisely...
