Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

Chronojam talks about the maps Fissure and Pipeline, a change to the War Factory interior and about the Cold Fusion patch.

This version of the blog is modified from the original. Click here to see the full version. The original author is Chronojam. Here is what he said:
Chopbam's been quite spirited with his work on his contributions to Gamma, which include in particular the previously demonstrated Pipeline map and a reworking of Fissure. Previously, a map called Tun_Fissure was available; this is effectively an overhaul of that map (Tun_Fissure itself an edit of the original Fissure). While this does not replace Excavation on our to-do list, it offers some exciting and fast-paced gameplay with far more tactical options than the original Fissure.I wanted to give you a look at the new Fissure, and some new shots of Pipeline which has itself been updated a bit since you last saw it. So here are some of those shots. They don't quite show everything of course :v:

Also, here's a self-explanatory shot that should hopefully have you crying tears of joy. The issues with the glass and getting stuck on the fences have both been resolved, by the way.

Some futher thoughts. Not to feature-creep Cold Fusion, but hopefully we can include some of the coming changes in Gamma into it while we wait for Raapnaap to show up again and finish off those maps he was doing. This may include the redone loading screens, the overhauled strings database and thus possibly easy support for translations, and maybe the new EVA replacements for the old radio commands.

1. The stairs on the WF is much better than that funking elevator.
2. The new maps (Pipeline and the new fissure) looks very cool!
3. The rocks and the grass are awesome!
4. The new tesla effect is good.
5. I think that I will die if I donĀ“t play it soon.
