Welcome to 'No Bugs Allowed'.

In this game you are put against waves and waves of spider-like aliens and your objective is to survive as long as you can.
To make it more exciting, you gain money from killing enemies and you can use that money to buy and upgrade your weapons between rounds at the shop terminal.
This is necessary as your enemies get stronger every wave-

NBA is currently available for the PC and PSP platforms and it's based on Kurok 0.4 on PSP and FitzQuake Plus on PC. The game has been designed to be playable on PSP from ground up.
Both engines and QuakeC source will be released with the upcoming Beta2. You can contact me for them if you don't want to wait.

I encourage everyone in the community to create their own maps for this game if they're capable of mapping for Quake.
I also hope to see mods for it after Beta2 release.

I'm proud to say that I'm ready with the Beta 2 for No Bugs Allowed.

What's in it?

A working game. Unlike in the first release.

Maps

Included in Beta 2 there are 3 playable maps: Helipad, Cargo bay and Caverns.
Helipad was in the first release already, I've posted screenshots and videos of Cargo and Caverns is a surprise addition.

Multiplayer

I know I said that multiplayer wouldn't be fixed for this release, but I'm eating my own words.
PC to PC multiplayer is tested online and it works just fine, the difficulty is a bit steeper for coop play.
PSP Ad-Hoc multiplayer should be working the same way it used to.
I haven't been able to test it myself, so please report errors you might encounter in it.
I don't know about PSP Infrastructure online play either, it might or might not work.

Bonus pickups

I hadn't posted about this yet but you've probably seen them in the Cargo gameplay video.
Enemies have a chance of dropping money, health or ammo pickups when they die.
This mechanic really adds to the game and is necessary during later waves.

Fixes

I've fixed a ton of small and bigger problems that were in the first release, and a ton of those that I've made after the first release. It should feel like a polished game on both PC and PSP now.

QuakeC is what the game logic is written in (weapons, enemies, ect.) the rest is up to the engine (rendering, that sort) and it's done in C. They're both fairly similar languages (QuakeC derives from C) QuakeC just doesn't have some of the things that C has. (Arrays, for statements. ect) I recommend reading up on both languages and downloading the game's source and reading that too. Maybe make a mod for NBA (this game) add a weapon or something. If you really want to start at the root, then mod Quake (the game that this game is built off of) Happy Modding! If you need help setting up or anything then message me. :)

The game was tested with a PSP-1000 (phat), 5.50 GEN-D (Full), without HBL. You could try running it in older 5.x firmware or even try if that HBL works. I really have no idea of the differences between different CFWs.

Hey, if you need any help with anything, like modeling, I'm here. I need to practice modeling organic things, because I suck at modeling anything that isn't a hard shell of an object. But I don't think I'm ready for humanoids yet.

Nevermind that post, NBA development is on hold. I'm currently busy with university and I have other plans for my free time.

Highest Rated (3 agree) 10/10

This game is the best PSP mod I have seen in a while, very much providing some competition for NZ:P. Everything about NBA is clean, frisch and neu. Although the game does provide some frustrating moments, such as figuring out the controls for the armoury, most aspects of the gameplay will be pleasing and worthwhile. The enemies are not too easy nor too hard, conveying a feeling that you had earned the funds you have gained, thus expending the last-ability of the gameplay. I present the rating 10/10…
