We keep a regularly updated development blog on BlogSpot, as well as maintain an official Facebook Fan Page and Twitter Feed, which I heartily encourage you to join if you're on those networks, as we keep them regularly updated with info about the game!
Here is some of what people have had to say about the title so far:
We're aiming to release the game on December 21, 2012 and have a demo planned for release a little while before that if all goes well.
Anyway, I hope you like it! And remember to please join the social networks to follow our development!

We've progressed a bit with town generation, check it out!
This is where we were:
We then got the correct movement system happening and put in all 27 building types to see how well they assembled, which looked like this:
This really got us excited, since we started to see a glimpse of what towns will eventually be like! But then we got to this stage:
With textures starting to be applied, things started looking really quite cool, but still REALLY basic as there were still limited models and no lighting yet.
So, just to let you know where we're up to (and to show we haven't been lazy!) we have a (still early) video showing the towns with some of the advanced lighting in place!
All of the shaders are running at default settings for now, so it looks awful, and there are still only demo textures and no props, etc, but take a look at the progression we've made through these few videos, and imagine what it's going to look like in the end! Yay!
Also, our KickStarter is at $4200! That's 70% of our goal! And we still have something like 17 days left to go! So please, please, PLEASE keep sharing the link! Post it on forums, share it on FaceBook and Twitter! Let everyone know! You're doing awesome so far, so keep it going!
We've put up a heap of new reward levels, including one where YOU CAN STAR IN THE GAME!!! So be sure to keep checking back on it! Just click the image below!

at first i was like : "duh, a good game indedd, why not helping them?" but then , apparently, throwing money at the screen did something.... you are actually planning to think about putting an infinite game on a smartphone... i already saw some of those infinite game (most of them being minecraft clones...) but; if you are able to do what you want to actually do.... I won't just throw money at the screen.... I WILL COME TO YOUR STUDIO, AND I WILL THROW MY MONEY!!!!! ON YOUR FACE!!!! WITH MY HAND!!!!!! XD (and i'm thinking about bringing some cake :3)
Ahahaha that would be nice! Actually, Minecraft isn't an infinite world ;-) it's very big though... Bigger than anyone would ever need, which is just as good! And yes, we'll definitely be making the move to smartphone land if the PC game is popular enough. If it doesn't go anywhere though, we wouldn't be able to afford to waste the development time to put Malevolence on smartphone :( so let's hope that it's popular enough!
it will . and to prove my point , I haven't been that interested in a game like this since... HELLGATE LONDON!!!! (whatever people may say, this game had good idea XD) it sure was one helluva long ago :)
It was a good idea, yes, and I was really excited to play it when it was announced, but I have to say I really didn't enjoy it :( But yes, REALLY good concept! I hope they end up doing a sequel where they make it all better!
Thanks, tha was a good read. I was curoius if you should (must) follow a moral conduct behaviour due to religion ingame (or at wich level)...
Hehe, the way we see it, that's up to the player! You can be an evil bastard if you want to, or a saint! There are full in-game features for pickpocketing, sneaking, etc, for the evil characters, but also shrines where you can receive blessings from The Sword!
Thanks, that's good to know!:D
Just another question.
How about difficulty level? One or multiple? If one, the game will be difficult?
The game's difficulty is based on the location of the player. Malevolence is quite unforgiving towards people who are over-curious. Some places in the game are very dangerous and a low-level player will be slaughtered quickly. When playing Malevolence, you are humble or you are dead ;)
And that's the right approach! Good!
haha :D
