Description

To test character animations the Animator Editor has now a wakeboard mode. In this mode a plane is placed under the character model which can be tilted in 2 directions. The character adjusts according to the ground tilt below. Here the Sean is used to demonstrate this testing facility. Currently the inverse kinematic system is still in infancy stage hence the results are not optimal. Best results are obtained from using individual animations for different tilt positions blended together. This requires though a lot of work. This tilting here is done only using procedural animator rules. It is therefore a quick solution for animating arbitrary 4-legged creatures. This helps to prototype quickly an animation before starting the lengthy process of creating the individual animations. And it allows for modders to add new content more quickly without having to provide all animations.
