Tiberium Dusk is a re-imagining of the Kane's Wrath universe in a way I feel better fits canon, as EA did a pretty poor job with the C&C franchise continuity from Tiberium Wars onwards. This mod doesn't change anything with regards to the story but helps add elements to the gameplay that "fill the gaps" and provide a more Tiberian Sun esque experience (including all its flaws and unbalances) and departs away from the Kane's Wrath RTS formula. Still a work in progress, I've made changes to the AI (buffed turtle AI and made brutals harder), made changes to "Militant Squads" which make them work with the timeline of the franchise, changed the "Nod" faction entirely with a new name, as Kane's Wrath "Nod" works more of a splinter faction rather than a true "Brotherhood"; with Marked of Kane being the new face of the faction. There are also numerous changes to GDI and Scrin, especially Reaper 17 and Steel Talons, which make them play significantly differently.

WELL... I've still gotta make that showcase. xD Not gonna lie, a certain someone is pretty godamn awesome. ;)

I'm still working on Singular Infantry system right now which has really taken me more time than I was expecting, getting everything working in a seamless way like when there were squads takes a lot of extra effort.

I could've just been lazy and made squads with singular troops in them, (since Squads are basically fake objects with groups of troops attached) but I wanted to optimize it and work on making actual singular troops, which has taken a lot longer.

Returning to form for an extra-special unit I will be showcasing soon, the Gen I Ion Cannon is a very classic-themed ion cannon that will function via a unit ability...

But the unit in question is actually in the picture. ^^

The Generation II Ion Cannon will feature as GDI's main superweapon and is the same as before (C&C3; Ion Cannon without swirly lasers), with the same "kaboom" shockwave sound effect used in C&C3;.


The Gen I Ion Cannon unlike its Gen II counterpart requires a long charge-up time and can only be deployed via the use of "Ion Cannon Beacons" deployed by specific units, it also has a splash radius of approximately half the size of the Gen II version.

To make up for this the Gen I Ion Cannon network is much more established and can be deployed more frequently and it also does higher damage on the targets it hits, being able to kill the Scrin Mothership in 1 shot if it hits.
