Meat can be cut from some mutants if they not seem to suffer too much from various injuries. This provides a cheap way of surviving for some stalkers. For others it is all a matter of saving their money for other equipment.
Eating cooked mutant parts will unbalance your health but your only alternative is the more expensive imported consumables.
Some stalkers eat mutants as a symbol of human superiority and masculine showoff. Some stalkers focus on health and spend their roubles on the imported goods. So having a few imported cans of food on you does not necessarily generate a symbol of wealth among others.

in which way you want to implement that feature (script wise):
- "use" mutants to get meat (usual way)
- use regular knife and actually slash mutants to get meat (TGZ-way)
- special knife script (SGM,ARSmod) with GUI popup
- "inventory" in mutants to get meat

now youve mentioned it its pretty harsh to eat parts of a snork or a blodsucker..ive never realy considered that they were once humans.. poor bastards... well thats the way of the zone i guess :D

I know this may sound sick but would stalkers eat zombie meat? Cause if they eat blood sucker and snork meat it would seem feasible or would the level of radiation in zombie meat be to high?

tecnically they are just normal humans with roasted brains so i guess it wouldnt harm you more than a snork or dwarfs and others and not much sicker either:D

just imagion the smell of the place where theese are cooked and stored xD this feature realy demoralizes the player in my opinion :D (AWESOME!!! *_*)
