Proving Grounds is a TDM modification for Natural Selection 2. It focuses on First Person combat, without the RTS elements of the full game. Currently in alpha development, the mod will eventually feature multiple modes and full customisation of characters and models. This will be updated as more media becomes available.
Welcome to GorgeCraft.
GorgeCraft is a mod designed for players to build and construct to their hearts content. The aim is to give as much freedom as possible to the players for building, letting their imaginations do the rest. It takes the Alien builder class from the game Natural Selection 2, and gives it a whole new lease of life, freed from the ravages of battling pesky Marines.
It's a little known fact that the kharaa aliens are completely different races, absorbed by the bacterium in it's quest to grow. Back on their peace-loving homeworld, Gorges love to spend all their time building, playing sports and sliding around on their bellies. It is their calling. GorgeCraft gives you an opportunity to experience Gorges operating in their natural habitat...
Containing 13 of the Alien buildings, play away to your hearts content, making obscure art from the Alien buildings.
Recommended for playing on your own, or on a listen server with friends. There is no win condition, you just play until you are bored, and then close the game down.
Currently in Alpha, 7 more Alien buildings will be added, code optimisation and other updates will be coming along to further improve your building experience.
GorgeCraft is Part 1 of the GorgeWorld Trilogy.

How did you convert the Q3 map over? I've been struggling with the bugs with an ATCS remake from Tremulous.
Whats the point in removing the one thing that sets this game apart from the others? It ends up turning the game into a more generic title barely on par with other games.
What's the point me making a mod if I don't change the gameplay? I am making a high speed old school death match shooter, because that is what I like to play. For the last 10-1 years shooters have been mind numbingly slow boring walking crouching sniper games, and that is not my game type. My game type is high energy bouncing off the walls, movement that keeps you alive. What makes me laugh is reviews call ns2 an old school fast paced fps, but it is very slow. This game will be a lot faster, essentially, I am modding a game, I would like to play :D
Well in that case I guess I should make my position clear. I love fast paced shooters I really do! This is a mod so you are in total control, but to be honest, playing as an alien is pretty fast gameplay from what I've seen. I had a hard time playing as a marine in NS2 because I didn't really have the strong connection to be able to kill aliens reliable before they get close to me which left me frustrated sooner than later.. on other hand I can see how if you want a marine vs marine type of game then your changes makes perfect sense to me. I wish you good luck sir!
i didnt understand much but will this be as Counter-strike's multiplayer? Buying the things on the start and so?
You will be able to buy at any time during the round in the current version. As soon as you have enough res, you can upgrade. Eventually the plan is to have you buy your items while dead, so you then spawn in with your weapons/abilities already bought.
The main difference between this and the counter-strike purchase system is that you will respawn in after you die, and not have to wait out the round, so you buy on each death, rather than only at round start.
