Half-Life 2 : MMod is all about updated visuals, post processing shaders, particle effects, new gameplay mechanics and new weapons/npc's.
Are you using a separate skin for these, or simply IsNPC proxy in the vmt? The proxy would be more efficient in every way.
yeah, it's a proxy, but i had to edit default skins to remove color from eyes and put it into separate texture map.

Eyes of Combine soldiers now completely "turn off" when they're dead, rather than glow constantly.
