Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.

No, it's what we're going to use. HL1 model with more polygons, normal mapping, ragdoll, bone physics, and several sliced submodels.

(buried)

If that model has more polygons, I can hardly tell honestly. I really think you should use an entirely new model, but that's my only gripe.

And yet the hard edges from the original still remain.

True but that's till it's WIP. We're not going for a redesign, we only need to make them fit in, freshen them up a bit.

To me it looks like it has less edges and corners. A Half-Life 2-ified version of the original.

I am so glad that you can kill them now and use them as a weapon with a gravity gun!

I think it's a bit weird that you can kill them tbh, in Black Mesa they can also be killed and i honestly not sure if it's a great idea of making them killable since they were pretty much immortal since first Half-Life.

It wouldn't make much sense for it to be invincible, and it makes it a more interactable alien plant.

Alien ecosystems have replaced the native marine ecosystem after that sea got drained.
