Well look at the federation defiant class, a ship built for war. Imagine if a Galaxy Class Star ship had been outfitted for strictly combat instead of space exploration ... the ship would be a beast. The empire would build star ships for war ... so stat changes and maybe a few designs changes would be in order.

I really like this design, I can't pin point why, maybe the squid forward fangs, the sexy curves or perhaps simply the shape and design being so well balanced. I guess it doesn't matter if its cool, which it is.

Assuming the Claudius is around 350 Meters (120 meters smaller than the Deadelus) that would make the Hephaestus roughly 1,500 meters (roughly) meaning it is approximately 400 meters longer than a Halcyon class refit cruiser.
