What the Title says. Enjoy!
Now that is a great looking ship
Looking good and awesome.
Honestly, and this is either the textures or the lighting/shaders, it looks terrible in my opinion... Too plastic-like.
Shaders. For some reason the engine is rendering some ships differently.
Hooray... Downvotes for an opinion... -.-
That's kinda the whole point of downvotes: people disagree, they downvote you. They agree, they upvote you. I wouldn't worry about it. Votes are cheap.
Is it? Wasn't the point of downvoting to bury comments which should be deleted/not viewed? As far as I know, it used to be used to say whether it was a good comment or not, not whether you agreed with it - But I suppose times have changed.
don't be so dramatic, I in fact agree with you. I saw the previous texture and I think this is indeed a great improvement, but it's still not there yet.
As for downvotes and stuff, currently you have 3 up votes on my screen. So don't even bother with that.
For the guy in charge of textures, I hope my critisism does not offend you.
The reason I think it's not finished is because:
- In the series they used a more brown/orangish colour, unlike the red used here. Then again I can imagine that it was a deliberate decision because in the series the ships were insanely old, colours may change.
- The original lantean ships actually had more parts of the ship in brown/orange than currently displayed. Such as the fins just behind the middle of the ship. Then again, it's just details.
- Also the armor plating looks kinda swamp-like green while I'd expect grey (this may be due to lighting effects/shaders, i don't know)
I'm just giving my opinion and I compared this with a few googled images. I loved the Aurora class in the series so maybe I'm just being a fanboy here.
Other than the above, I love the front part of the ship, it's perfect. The details are nice, just wish there were more because I get the odd feeling that the human ships had more love in the making. Thanks for the good work and keep it up!
Edit: the armor plating of the Destiny capital looks exactly how I'd expect the Aurora's armor to look. That ship is really damn well textured.
Currently no down-votes, yes, not previously; as for the drama... I can be as dramatic as I like! Thank you very much.
Awesome looking ship.
If you remember one of the episodes in Atlantis, in which the Orion destroys one of the two Wraith hives. When it fires its weapons, massive amount of drones is launched but its shields drop. I know the shield dropped due to its damage and low power, but is it possible to make its ultimate weapon (I mean its fourth lvl up power) to be simmilar and actually spawn so many drones and envelop the enemy ship and destroy it?
Just asking ;)
Thats one hell of an idea i'm for it
I just watched that episode, the only reason the shields dropped was because they had to choose one or the other.
It was either keep power to shields, or route power to weapons.
they hadn't finished unlocking or fixing the Orion (which was in the repair bay so the writers had for the origin) so they only had the ability to get one or the other.
Hello beautiful ... my ship of choice.
I love the Concordia :3
Looks great, keep up the good work. :)
