its a 10 year old AMD but its stable. phenom 2 965/NV 1070. its in the User/appdata/local/crashdumps dir. anyway thought you might want to know if its also possibly doing it to yours.

ahhh it was reshade interfering with it. sorry to bother you.
it runs from quake2xp.exe .you can rename the exe and run from the steam link but make sure it won't be autoupdated by steam back to the original exe.
its precaching to a unique directory based on your mod name. what is the command to trigger it? it would save me having to reload the game every time I finish a level.
getting crashes on load of new level. it generates a cache and crashes. restarting the program after that it will load so its something to do with the caching. berserker would precache all levels upon first load (a pain but it worked). do you know what that command might be and how to trigger it from console?
Looks great. I am having some issues though with shadows cast by objects and characters. Seems they only show at a close distance and if I move the mouse they will disappear at certain angles. Which files included in the mod directly affect such things. Perhaps just removing those certain ones may fix the issue. I am using reshade with it but it is not a problem in regular BFG so its either shaders or some switch?
close the win explorer browser and F5. It'll see it in the proper dir after.

can't get past the gold key door on MP1. have the key but the door won't activate. pak0 is in place.
may run into problems if you are using dual channel and small sticks 4GB
I get the occasional hitching and it seems due to the audio. Maybe increasing the sound cache values adjustability to say 3 times the current number may reduce the stuttering?
nope directx9 with s3tc enabled results in the same crash
No they weren't enabled but I am using the S3TCs from Oldunreal and they are working ok. Will try that though.

made a copy of my steam install and applied the 227i patch. works until the end of the first cinematic in na pali and crashes with a fake bluescreen warning while some kind of setup is be executed (progress bar) saying its compiling info to be sent ....somewhere. hmmmm

can the mutator be activated in singleplayer mode. If true, how is that done?
Is that with emboss? Using it in Doom 3 BFG and it looks awesome. Newer megatexture stuff like Rage don't work though.
the roe has some showstopper glitches. missing pdas, broken levels assets (elevators with no textures or lift control + getting stuck when the door closes) a door with invisible barrier blocking progression on erebus 2. and configed for cheating. rewritten level assets extra shadow buffer image in vertical position. really it just needs to be higher res textures and ironsights but....
Shadow issue was SSAO. Better without but weaker lighting.
Any chance of getting some fixes for the few errors remaining. Seems likely development has stopped. I have mainly two plaguing issues. One is the extra crosshair (blue cross) that is imposed by the mod "somehow" and the other is skybox issues with odd shadows lines also noticeable at the very beginning with the green under the "elevators" that the player activates.Megatextures?? Great mod though but could you give some clues for fixes?
also I was trying out the framework version 1.0 and although I haven't quite figured it out I thought I noticed emboss giving some interesting results
no. just messing around with some of the files I had on hand.
using 15.8 cat I had to create a new shortcut to fix the fullscreen issue.
