Hi again, the Japanese developers of this mod know more than me in general and have not tried modding singleplayer myself but I don't think it is possible to make bots better at using the LCT and LST. They are classified to the AI as landing craft but the original landing craft did not have ladders, more than one ramp and vehicles onboard which are all problems for bots.
It is the same with bots in general, some have said bots are more active than before FHSW 0.7 but there are still problems on multiple maps. You could also keep tabs on the FHSW European Mappacks page on ModDB and in the discord which is linked in the main page of this mod page for updates on the new map pack which will also feature bot support.
A lot of tank guns & artillery still have the option to change ammo type and many just got this feature in the previous update this year. Also, bots can't change ammo type.
Unfortunately this is because of an error in ver0.7 on this map. This has been fixed in the latest update that came today.
Strange, It works fine for me in instant action and I've tried with both teams and 64 bots. Have you applied the 4gb patch to Battlefield 1942 exe? Maybe it won't fix this issue but it makes the game run better and not crash on maps with a lot of stuff like Alpenfestung. Ntcore.com
Ok, do you have any addon/pack that adds and changes the sound and textures in FHSW? If you have the previous version of the Sound & Texture pack for FHSW you would crash while loading the map as you said. I've tested Alpenfestung just now in instant action against bots and it doesn't crash for me while loading. By the way, does the loading screen show up properly?
Did the crash happen when the allies captured the flag around the church? I don't know if anyone knows why but something with it has caused crashes for some people playing coop and in multiplayer.
Yes, you can play against bots in instant action and in coop. Still, not all maps are supported even if they are listed in instant action but if you could play a map in Forgotten hope against bots then it should work in FHSW.
Yes it could be, but right now you can play mods like BattleGroup42 that feature the war in China.

Since you've been working on more maps with the Japanese you might've fixed that if the Arisaka 38 has the bayonet on it has no firing or handling sounds.

From playing it seems like you can't drive the train at all but you can still use the cannons and mgs in the wagons. The Train didn't appear at all on gebirgspass so there was a gap between the two canon wagons facing different directions.
Also the Achilles 17pdr M10 has been announced for FHSW!
Those vehicles you talk about are already the ingame and were even in the offical Battlefield: 1942 Secret Weapons expansion. There is a large variety of maps with varying emphasis on historical accuracy meaning there are many maps without these vehicles you speak of.

Sometimes my resolution goes from "length 1 width 1" instead of the 1920 and 1080 atleast according to the log and how it sometimes looks while loading maps, going to the menu and back etc.
While using the M1 Carbine and firing while running the character is not pointing the gun in the right direction.
I think the "blade" should be held upwards instead of downwards. It currently looks bit unwieldy.
Yeah after using the scenario editor and then playing skirmish the cannons were there. But I feel it is redundant to go into the scenario editor every time before playing the game.
Great mod, although two of the most glaring things I would want to be changed is the shovel animations and upgrading the panzerfaust from 30 to better variants on alot of maps.
Why is there no cannon on the mule cannon? In my game it is only a settler wagon firing projectiles spawning out of thin air.

Will you change the helmet for the German officer to a cap? It is a bit weird that they have the paratrooper helmet. Also could the Luger get the animations used in FH?
Alot of weapons do not function, they do make a sound and play a animation.
The Katana, K98 grenade launcher, A5 Browning shotgun. Also could you give Anti-tank a pistol to defend himself? The bots do nothing against infantry.
Can you add new first person animations? The MG42 has a pretty bad one.
