You could also use the Forced Diplomacy mod and teleport diplomats to where you need them in order to keep factions alive - that is how I do it (and that is why I do not play the newer Total War games, as they do not have any diplomacy forcing mods). I do not like it when factions die off, so I use the mod to keep them alive (you can add the Forced Diplomacy mod to practically any existing mod).

This is virtually unplayable, I don't know why the person/people who makes these decisions thought "hey, let's adopt this into the mod".. it looks way too dark (and my monitor and Windows have currently pretty high brightness settings).

Can the mod please stick to English text? These "native" faction names are so off-putting.. I know that there is a goal for historical accuracy but we're playing (mostly) in English for a reason.

If you give me your "export_descr_unit" text file I can force the units to look like as if they are upgraded, even if they are not in-game. It's a quick fix and I can do it for you if you want.

I personally use the maximum upgraded armour visuals on every unit in the game, because they look WAY more awesome than their default appearances - especially the Gondorian soldiers.
