I have to state my frustration with the Paris level.
The first time, instead of loading, it just crashed.
Then the level itself. The bombs and it's timer. While you get shot at from different sides. Still okay.
Then the whole tone of the level. Instead of hiding something, that I can only put into big doctor evil quotationsmarks "secret" there, it would have been better, if there was more occoult stuff down there. The whole discovering of that stuff earlier in the map, was really cool.
The whole map seems very lose in it's locations and how they string together.
The defense at the end was a nightmare. Justa bunch of enemies bee-lining towards you, and two badly done MG positions. Please, you can do better than this!
Give the enemys different angles of attack. Also improve the MG, it is really, really bad on any higher difficulty.
Speaking of that, from my expirence, it is better to have more enemies than to have them hit harder.
One more thing is the building on fire, where some loot is hidden. You have to go up on a ladder, pass an unavoidable damage zone, that hurts you for 20hp every time, and the ladder is so baddly done, you can only fall down and die likely from it.
I dont know who of you comes up with this stuff, but it is really bad, like **** on a diamond elsewise.
But keep in mind: That is just one level.

It would be nice to have a list of cheats for health and no clip, just for convinence aswell.

Hey,

I recently decided to give Call of Chernobyl another go, and this time with some mods aswell.
I installed, in that order Arsenal Overhaul, Outfit Add-on, then DocX Questlines and DocX dynamic Factions.

My point is: How do I know if the different mods are working and are active? My run started me out at the Trainstation with Hawaiian, and the other essential NPCs but no other NPC show up. Is there a reason for that?

As cool as this looks, wouldn't a different engine and medium better for your idea?
BfMeII isn't sold anymore, afaIk, so the player base is slim, also you people who have the game might not be into ME.
If you would use Alien Swarm/Scource Engine or Unity and you could still go easy and for free, with inbuild Iso modes for the AS way.

Just played and was blown away by this. Very nicely done! Here are my two cents:

I like your level design but I would say that they grey you use for the outside isn't blueisch to fieldgreyish (yeah, german fieldgray baby)enough. It's just to white. Also the lightling is often abdundant. More shady tones would often benefit the level. Try dimmed lightning instead of flickering, you dont want a horror vibe to this after all.

Maybe the patch didnt install right or anything, but the Helghan AR has zero recoil and backdrop for me. I isnt super accurate but its not breaking out if you know what I mean. Same with the pistol. These are harder to control than a rifle from my (limited) expirience.

I had one bug so far, after shooting a volley of Helghan AR rounds, I used the alt fire and then fired the rest the of the mag - game crashed due to some Audiowave thing. Hope that helps.

Also when you go down the staircase, where you can turn around and find 3 supply boxes beneath it, put a health pack in one of these.

For the weapons, The Helghan Pistal in 3 did shot a little bit faster and that Silenced Version is very op from its range and Damage. You can kill easaly kill a 4 man squad just by the Headshots. Maybe a nerf of the weapon damage in generell and for Headshoots would better balance it with the higher firerate as a sidearm? It's a small caliber also. Altfire could be a quick 2 shot burst.

For the shotgun - would you consider a second firemode like a punch with the weapon - if you miss your shot you can knock an enemy of balanced before he can unload onto you. Or maybe a very widespread 2 or 3 shell burst.

Biggest impovment would be the Helghan seek and actually use cover. I know the Source AI isn't pretty clever, but the guys in the games all was sticked to the cover, covering theri buddys and shooting from behind it. There guy just go one after the other into a death train. Making Rifleman cover the Assault guy would be a nice finesse. Also the sound design for more grunting and death noises when shot and killed. Maybe a bit lower pitched if you can do that, as the voices are grasped sounds that rasp through the filters of the Helghan gasmasks.

Srsly, this is why I never even bothered to buy the new Doom. Stupid MP, DLC and now this. Brutal Doom is all you will need, and its for free.
