For those who are not familiar with the Summer of Mods and Indies ( Moddb.com ) it was our first shot at running a big mid-year event. Our aim was to showcase the best mods and indie games released in the first half of the year, some of which are missed when it comes time for the "all-in mass nomination / event" that is the Mod of the Year.
well... actually i didnt recognize much of it.
just some kinda large attractive looking header with some games listed which were not my style at all.
i once read some articles there but it wasnt any interesting to me.
Damn, I voted for "There was a Summer of Mods & Indies event?" but I meant to say that I like these more frequent showcases, better than leaving it all to the start/end of the year.
t'was okay. Started out big at the beginning but then somehow the flame died down. It just lost drive and somehow flowed along without much ado. More like the beginning and less like the end and it's becoming good.
I liked it quiet a bit, the only problem was I knew everything about the mods/indie games you showcased already so I guess it didn't do much for me I just enjoyed the articles and overall showcasing.
I couldn't profit of the Summer of Mods and Indies because for the mods, I hadn't the right Game and for the Indies I hadn't the game itself. It was certainly useful for those users that do not visit the site as often as I do and that have the right games.
We needed to work with the mod teams who wanted the exposure, it was also a cut off from the beginning of the year so that only left a few possibilities.

No summer here, yet.

Honestly? I didn't care about it.
I thought it was a great idea, but, to be honest, I think it was poorly executed.

for anyone who frequents the site, they would have already know about these mods & indies.
i would have chosen more unknown titles.
