I have to say Windows. It came with my computer and it is the best one for gaming.

I personally would not use Windows if there were as much games available to the other OS.
My dad uses a Linux, so I have tested it many times and I like some nice features in it (like the multiple desktops). Also it is very light OS which is allways a good thing. But the lack of the particular applications and gaming being pretty much only on an emulator of Windows is the reason why I don't use Linux.

Mac is also a nice canditate. I love the stylish look and ideas Apple has done in it but it has pretty much the same problem that Linux has.
Applications might be easier to find - Atleast if the program is done by a big company, there usually is a mac version then.
I know that there are some games done/ported for Mac, but in my country it's hard to find any games for Macs in stores and they are expensive compared to the PC version games.
The same is with the prices of the system itself between PC's and Mac's.

Windows 7 actually sounds tempting :)

I would be a Linux user if games would run as easily as they do in Windows.

Why can't game companies make games for both platforms? *Sigh*

Was there any doubt to the results of this poll? As much as I hate it Windows is the only logical choice for gaming, and Mod DB is a community of gamers, modders, and indie game makers.

I use Windows, but if by some chance Linux, at some point in the future, supports Windows games like Windows does I am switching faster than it takes for WinXP to boot up.
