realistic + gory, cause realistic IS gory ;P
Excessive Blood cause for bad frame rate. And also alittle bit cartoony-ish
I like to paint the walls, just realisticly
I love blood, but not when it covers the whole screen leaving you unable to fight....
I like excessiveness but it has to at least make some sort of sense.
I wish it was like how Soldier of Fortune II is with how limbs actually come off with different weapons, that's realism.
No Blood? You Pussies. I love Gore in Movies, so i love it in Games too. Let the Heads Explode and paint the Brains over the Walls:-D
I personally think that unnecesarry gore can detract from the story telling experience, and can become a pointless selling point for a lot of games. I picked Moderate.
Blood, Gore, Death, Pain, It's not real, blood flying all over the place is fun in a fictional setting, go crazy, it makes the combat more satisfying as opposed to when you can hardly tell when you hit someone.
gotta have lots of gore!
i want gore and lots of it, SOF 1 was so fun, blowing off peoples limbs with the .45 or shutgun at close range. :D
I love blood and pain! Its gaming, there no need for reality!
I love gory effects :D
No one has voted for the clean option yet :P
Can't wait until super dynamic body gibbing :D :D :D
UberGore is sometimes less disturbing than realistic just cuz it's so over the top :D
It's between the over-the-top, blood-trailing gibs of Quake and the bandage healing of FireArms/limb incapacitation of Deus Ex
Why be realistic with blood? if you really want a realistic shooting experience, stop working on your tacticle ops shooters stop with ww2 stuff and go join the army or something. i'm so fed up with the audience that wants games to be like reality. It so draining the creativity factor out of everything with people expecting things to be realistic instead of artistc.
I like realistc blood, but I also like gibbage for high explosives and decapitation for high power weapons.
Just realistic for me, unless it needs to be unrealistic for a gameplay reason. For example, Quake 3 allowed one to gib corpses because that way there would be less corpses lying around and less cover, adding an element of strategy to the game. However, ultra gory games like Soldier of Fortune are just sick, and it makes you wonder what it takes for some people to get their rocks off.
I like realistic amounts of gore not because it promotes realism, I'm not a huge fan of the whole "ultra realistic" thing, but because it makes a balance of knowing when you have hit someone, and not feeling guilty for watching this crap.
Kinda like the blood in Brain Bread.XD
I like realistic gore where realism is due. Everything else, I prefer excessive gore.
Its a game - pass me the blood paint! - and if i knew how to play gmod, i would use it
GORE ftw. Lol its way too fun to slice up your enemies on soldier of fortune 2 singleplayer.
Paint them walls, paint em GOOD
Green, yellow, black, blue... any of the normal enemy blood colours... I don't want any red as that implies MY BLOOD which is bad mmk
hmmm, there's something to be said for a good, deep red. Other colours can look too much like a paint factory accident rather than a warzone ;)
even really gory effects are never realistic i like what would be realistic effects such as someones head splitting in half if they were shot there
Gory all the way!
I think realistic is better unless the game calls for over the top violence. Some games such as Quake 3 use gore as part of their gameplay, but games like half-life 2, where realism is one of the keys to its brilliant gameplay needs much more toned down gore. The amount of gore should just depend on the game. I like all types of gore (except SOF, i think that just took it to the extreme) but i would hate to see Quake 3 style gibbing in half-life 2, that would just ruin the game. The gore should depend on the type of gameplay the game wants to offer. But I prefer realistic because it makes it so much more believable, and that makes me question the game less and just enjoy it. Other people may disagree, but to each his own.
I voted realistic, but by realistic, I mean little cuts and scrapes, and not HL2 style paint the walls. It just ain't realistic ffs.
It depends on the game.
To me it´s not so much the amount of gore that counts, but the way it´s presented.
I like gibs flying all over with a funny squish sound, but the fun ends for me when it comes along with vivid display of feelings of pain, shock, fear of death, etc. Not via the graphics, but more via sound and animation. Hard to explain maybe. Gore and blood is okay, but leave me alone with humiliation, pain, terror, or soldiers crying for their mom when their guts are all over the place. I want to be entertained, not disgusted.
Gibs gibs gibs gibs gibs gibs
Yeah!
Realistic is good, but really, it depends upon personal taste, I encourage developers to include a violence setting if possible, from no blood, to realistic, to so-many-gibs-its-funny, my two cents.
Who the fuc* voted forthe clean?
that's silly
Bullets leave ugly traces to bodies IRL. Why shouldn't they do that in game? It's better looking anyway.
I liked how in SOFII their limbs came off with certain weapons and how 1 or 2 mp-40 rounds to the gut would make a man scream and such, because no matter how many you are a couple 9mm or .45 to the gut should make you produce some sort of sound, and the more scared, painfull, and mortal agony the better. Now I know some don't like that but I would prefer to to my enies in mortal agony and let them either die slowly or live wit pain for the rest of their virtual lifes than just unloading on them and havving them die quietly. With certain games though like Q3 gibbing was great.
Realistic gore is, in most cases, actually pretty damn messy. A .44 Magnum will leave a nice clean entry wound, and blast out huge chunks as an exit. A shotgun to the head will actually paint the wall with an interesting pinky-purple shade.
More gore, more fun.. It's not the most serious matter in the world, splatters as a movie genre died a long ago so games should provide that entertaiment today. If you dont have stomach to watch gore turn it off, but others should have a chance to see it. What is more entertaining than humiliating your friend in lan, as you shoot his face off and play football with it.. :P
blood forthe blood god.
I played this game called Xombies! about 2months ago at a mates house and it was so ****** GORY! It just ruins thw whole affect
Ya gotta love the gory effects :devious:
blood blood blood blood
>:D
i think making violence a realaity a way to express an iner demon that every1 has
(in other words to try and get rid of all the pain and hatred that has conjoured up inside of yourself over the years)
;)
Fragfest fan, right here
diehard to the end... gimme blood, and by the boatloads, blood, Blood, BLOOD... BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
Hl2 definately needed some sort of gibbing system. Bodies dont explode from bullets but a rocket launcher to the face definately wouldnt look as clean as it does in source.
Bloodrayne 2 style gore, now thats some nasty stuff, cutting peoples arms off and watching them run around with blood spurting everywhere, then running over and taking there legs and head off them then splitting there torso in two, fun stuff!
Games should be so gory that you feel sick when you kill someone, bring on SoF3!
i prefer it to be realistic.
its much funniyer that way
i like blood but not having all the blood that the body has on the walls it looks bad
realistic games: realistic
deathmatch: gory
pokemon style: clean :D
gore in real life is quite excessive in video game standards but iguess it make some ppl sick
