I think that nintendo had the best show and ideas. For once a console isn't simply trying to be a mini-pc, but is instead trying something completely new and original. The Xbox 360 is quite stupid, since it is pretty much just a pc with controllers. The PS3 is going to be the same as every other playstation console, without any new radical ideas or changes, which in many ways is fine since they came before the xbox. What really annoys me is how most consoles want to make themselves like pc's. Why don't they just give up on consoles and start making computers, since they have so much in common. The only console that is even worth considering to buy is the Nintendo Wii, as it doesn't replicate a computer but offers a completely different experience to computer gaming. The xbox 360 is only able to survive in the market because of its excellent marketing campaign and by milking popular game titles for everything they're worth. The PS3 will survive because of its strong fanbase and the nintendo may or may not survive depending on how much people are willing to try something new.

All I can say is that it would be a lot simpler if companies would just give up on consoles and make computers, since they are the best gaming platform by far.

Nintendo was awsome. But, I'd say they were because last year all the PC companies, MS & Sony were showing their stuff while Nintendo was showing GC & some DS. This time PC companies, MS & Sony had little new to show while Nintendo had allthe Wii info we oculd handle.

I'm all PC 'n' stuff. I gotta say though, Nintendo blew the show away. What did Microsoft have to say for themselves? And as for Sony...

I think this is a pretty biased poll, considering this is a modding website so most of the crowd is going to be focused on modding, which usually is only done on the PC.

Let's face it, Sony had a terrible show, the Xbox show was pure marketing hype and using the word "innovative" over and over again, for the least innovative things we've ever seen on the console market. The Nintendo guys just looked like they were having fun.

Nintendo truly won for their creativity, I mean the ps3 and the x360 is wayyy below in creative.

Pc will always have the best games.Crysis,Ut2K7,Prey,HGL,TQ,Spore and thats just scratching the surface of the games to come.Next id probably give Sony second.It looks like they will have a solid game line up just the price sucks.

Nintedo was the best out of all the confrences I think, but i must say i cant wait to get my hands on Quake Wars

Although I havent seen Microsoft's and Sony's conference, I was just too excited about Nintendo's Wii. Either way, Microsoft already launched their system so nothing to see from their show other than their attempt to make Xbox/PC online play together. Sony is just trying to steal ideas from Nintendo, but mostly Nintendo has the most original concepts for gaming at this years E3.

I think Microsofts conference was very realtive to PC gamers. Most modders are devoted PC users so im worried about Microsoft being at the bottom.

But i also have a feeling alot of the voters havent seen the conferences.

I'm pretty surprised Microsoft is so low, I thought Sony were just plain laughable. It's pretty clear their complacency is starting to have a rather large effect on their conduct and products.

The halo3 preview sucked ***, didnt look very interesting at all.

The Wii looks so awesome, I cant wait for Red Steel and Metroid Prime 3.....

Sony is just being stupid, no one is going to buy a $600 when they can get a perfectly fine PC.

Microsoft is just more of the same....

Spore is about the most awesome game I have seen in years though.

I'm not much of a console gamer, but Nintendo was impressive.

Nintendo all the way. The way it started was truly amazing with the Wii Controller and Orchestra! Cant wait for Red Steel and Super Mario Galaxy!

I love my PC gaming, but I feel I will be buying my first console since PSX came out -- The Nintendo Wii.

As for Microsoft, I see no future for the Xbox/360 -- The ONLY thing keeping them TRULY alive is Halo 3 and that isn't even very good :/

some PC stuff looks sweet like C&C 3 and BF 2142 but i liked sony. Ps3 looks sweet nice graphics (take a look at Resistance!!!) and the controler is sweet good 4 flying games like WarHawk. Microsoft had Halo 3 but that it. Wii looks gay the controller is a TV remote!

Only thing good on nentendo is Metroid 3. Zombie21 ppl will but Ps3 cause is cheap Blu-Ray player and u can get $500 version and a GOOD PC costs $1000 and up AND graphics rock! (as i said b4 look at Resistance!). I think as soon as Halo goes away Xbox will go away it's only reason ppl buy it.

yeah halo is defiantely the ONLY reason people by Xbox. Nevermind the robust, seamless multiplayer service, fair price (by comparison to sony atleast), portfolio : Gears of War, GWAR, Oblivion, Condemned, Perect Dark, Prey to name but a few (i know some of these are on PC too but I think the argument here is over consoles), the fact that unlike sony they actually offer proof of concepts and real (no, pre-rendered 'impressions' do not constitute REAL) evidence to support and indicate where their work is going, it's JUST halo that people buy into Xbox for. Just out of interest what are the schematics of this box you're living in?

PC, Nintendo and Microsoft demonstrated quality software/hardware with evidence and actual conceptual proof, new innovations to off and online gaming and generally continuing to push what the consumer can expect to see.

Sony are as complacent as ever, and are still banking on the ignorance and boneheaded 'loyalty' of what depleting fanbase they have to keep them in business. Sadly, there's still an abundance of them.

I love PC, Nintendo and Microsoft not only for the work they've done but how they treat their fanbases. As far as products go they're pretty much always working to give the community what they want and more, and always respond in a positive and constructive way to critisism. Sony on the other hand just seem hellbent on draining the community dry so they can afford to keep going for another millenia.

i prefer PC, but i dont think its the best platform for gaming for the simple reason of : convenience

not everyone can afford the time or money to indulge in gaming as much as many of us do. For these people consoles are a much better option. They dont have to worry about maintenance, upgrading, viruses or anything. They can just sit down, plug in and play. It's also much easier if they fancy taking it over to a friends house. Just a couple of cables, all you need is power, a TV and hey presto! PC's are the best platform for those who have the time, money and general knowledge o the machine that allows them to. That's not necassarily everyone.

still think arguing over it's a bit pathetic though. As far as im concerned the more games, the more competition and the more ways to experience/play games the better

Sony really, really disappointed me. Half the conference was about sales, the other about derivative games with amazing graphics. Then the bit with the "new" controller :P . The guy they had testing it was hardly going to give an honest opinion, unlike with the Wii, when someone who had never used it before could win a game of tennis on their first try. By the way, Sony developers only got the new motion-sensitive controller two weeks ago, so it is clearly an attempt to play catch-up to Nintendo. Such a shame.

I wouldn't really know because i am too far away from E3 to go but i would have betted that Microsoft would have been the best. I didn't think that sony would have plunged right down to the bottom.

Sony's had very little in-game footage, it was almost all SMV sequences. They don't seem to understand that if I see an advert for a film on TV, I don't wanna see the poster or a picture of the screenplay, I wanna see actual footage of the film! Why they didn't apply this same philosophy to their games advertisements is beyond me. As far as games go, I'd put Microsoft at the bottom of the list. Most of the titles looked incredibly unoriginal. It looks like with their video and TV services they're basically going for a casual gamer market, while Sony is convinced they hardcore audience will stick with them. The Wii is a whole new style of gaming. If you own a Wii you can't be accused of not getting enough exercise because you're playing games too much. If gaming trains your mind in fuctions such as memory, logic, etc. - the games for the Wii will also train your body in terms of co-ordination between what you see on the screen and what you do with the controller. It encourages gamers to get out of their seats to slash swords, practise their putting and return tennis serves. Nintendo also has Zelda coming out the same day as the Wii launch. Seriously, there's no competition for me. It was to be Wii.
