Our friends at Noesis have just launched a new site, design3.com, that includes their entire library of training materials available as a 24/7 streaming service. We've always liked their training and community support and the new streaming service is a lot more convenient and even more affordable than the DVDs.
Many of you are already familiar with the quality Source and Autodesk tutorials from Noesis. For the last year they've partnered with Unity and now have hundreds of Unity specific tutorials available as well. They're adding new tutorials weekly and will be adding tutorials for Unity 3 and for Android development as these products are officially released. Other engines and middle-ware training is also on the way.
Another great feature is the arcade page which is great for those who are starting out! the page gives members a chance to play a game then build it themselves with the tutorials found on the design3 website.
The Noesis tutorials are designed for use by both novice and experienced game developers with multiple ways to access the content. You can either learn the tools while you are building some simple games, or search the content by either keywords or tags to solve specific challenges.
The design3.com website is great way to get started making games and shows tons of potential. The best thing for you to do is to go to the site and sign up as a free member where you will have access to many free tutorials as can participate in the design3 collaborative community.
We're looking to work more closely with Noesis and their design3 initiative in the future. We'll keep you posted and let you know when we have some new stuff to show off!
