Description
Developed as a late edition to the New Republics fleet and just in time for the beginning of the Vong War, the Ranger was a massive overhaul of the Nebulon B frigate by Corellia, transforming it into a heavy mobile AA battery. Armed with 4 dual light laser turrets and 12 imperial grade dual AA lasers, the Ranger wan't as fast as the Nebulon B, but had more armor and equal shielding to compensate for its lack of heavy weapons.

Nebulon DD
So I can kind of see a Nebulon B2 in there with its fins and engines but thats it, the NR really did an overhaul on this puppy haha!
This design also looks very different from the one you posted back in 2012: Moddb.com and its so much better imo
The Ranger Class Gunship is not the Nebulon B Ranger variant. Those are two different ships.

So this is the CEC Ranger Gunship. Corellia Engineering Corps bought a large amount of KDY Nebulon B frigates, cut engines in half and rebuilt a stronger yet slower ship. Kuat re-engineered the Nebulon B into the more advanced Corona Frigate. Surplus Nebulon Bs were becoming out-dated and KDY fitted them with extra pylons and removed the command bridge while also adding a repair hangar to create the long-range rescue/repair ship known as the Nebulon Ranger.
