Errant Venture : Mobile Shadowport image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
A weathered and beat up star destroyer, converted to an illegal arms market and then refitted with weapons and armor from the destroyed Lusankya SSD, the Errant Venture.
Armed with all the weapons of an ISDmk2 except for the removal of 2 side mounted heavy ion turrets, 4 medium dual turbolaser turrets and 8 turbolaser towers due to the modifications of adding external docking bays, the EV was painted crimson red, and fitted with 2 point defense batteries, a sensor jammer array and a ventral mounted mini superlaser.
Its fighter wing was comprised of uglies and various shuttles and freighters giving it an extra punch of firepower.
The EV can decrease the costs of all space and land units thanks to blackmarket discount components and can hire smugglers from from certain worlds that normally do not associate with the New Republic or other more proper forms of government.
Ability:
deploy fighter, corrupt systems (ig88), auto-fire super laser, black marker discounts, hires smugglers, increased health

so, we wanted it to look a little aged and beat up, but still make it nearly all red as the novels described. Being a mobile shadowport, we added on the external docking bays for pirates and smugglers tend to be in a hurry and may not enjoy feeling trapped inside an internal hangar bay. The ship was upgraded with armor, repairs and weaponry from the destroyed Lusankya, so this is why the ship is not entirely painted red.
The ventral forward command center has quite a large cannon mounted on to it, which will be activated by a special ability button and will fire the green deathstar laser, although a weaker version.
note: it is a big model, so getting screenshots at a good resolution are a little difficult
iirc somewhere ita lso was suggested that the ship was NOT entirely painted red but with a few parts left empty where could pay to have advertisment placed
I remember that as well, Booster Tarrick did infact leave spaces for advertisments....
I originally had plans for billboards and SW themed ads, but thought it would just look too far fetched in a combat setting
think so too, only brought it up for the "why thes hip is not entirely painted red" part^^... on the other hand it would be rather funy to have a part wiht "here could be your advertisement" while the EV blasts a Vong ship out of Space :D

Awesome, i like that it's not completely red. And other details... Damn, it's really magnificent with its uniqueness.
With the new fighter launch system mechanic I wonder whenever you release fighters/bombers for this ship it will be like a lottery like scoring an epic ship like the TIE Defender or losing with a subpar Z-95 headhunter.
Such a beautiful model and texture. One question though, why are the secondary engines on the EV and the original variants yellow as opposed to blue?

what faction will this be for
Booster Terrik worked with the New Jedi Order (Who themselves worked with the New Republic/Galactic Alliance) at that point in time.
Booster kinda liked to work on his own however, seeing as how Corran Horn was his son-in-law, he was friendly to the Jedi and worked with them often.
