Aden Kyr'am - Battle Carrier image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
Foreseeing the spreading corruption and inevitable failure of the New Republic, the Mandalorian Empire initiated a secret project, using the last reserves of their precious Beskar ore, to develop a new prototype fleet. This proto-fleet would encompass the most sophistocated weaponry available to Mandalor, and would be planned to be used not only a defensive shield for the planet, but a mobile base of operations in case tragedy might befall their planet. After first discovering the Vong invasion force before the battle of Helska, the Mandalorians rushed preparations to stock the ships, and safely hide them amid the asteroid fields of planet Gargon, where they could remain hidden and safe due to the heavy Beskar armor ship hulls.
The Aden Kyr'am, or "Merciless Death" in Mando'a, was a gianormous battle carrier, armed with the heaviest weapons available including massive dual super turbolaser turrets and heavy dual disruptor turrets. The ship features a massive forward hanger, capable of housing a large variety of strike craft.

- Advanced sensor arrays allow for detection of stealth units
- Unique Fin Electromagnetic Disruptor Array disrupts targeting of missiles
- 8 forward fixed heavy beam laser array

So, there is a huge gap in history about the Mandalorians.
They had absolutely nothing since the times of the Old Republic, then suddenly emerged as a new power during the Legacy Era. Everyone loves the Mandalorians, but so little has been written about them.
We have taken this time to fill in a major hole, and provide a story worthy of this great race. The Mandalorian Prototype Fleet was the last safeguard of Mandalore, and their hope for the future.

Ironically the vong war actually revealed to them a brand new deep vein of Beskar that was uncovered due to battle damage.
Which is what allowed the proto-fleet to be expanded upon, thus allowing the Mandalorians to rise to a position of power in the Legacy Era.
At least that is how we are choosing to portray it, for this is the fanon lore that I have created to tie the eras together.

I always wondered how the mandos defeated the vong with little more than star fighters and infantry. The books do not go into that great detail even the guide to warfare
Exactly the reason for our little story about the Proto-fleet.
For those who do not know, Gargon was the planet used for resource harvesting materials for both Death Stars, hence making it a very suitable construction yard for Mando ships.

It looks fantastic, but let me ask you guys something, will they be hard to move across the map like in some mods or have you come across some kind of fix for larger ships moving all fuzzy?

Hope this isn't too ambitious, but I think you should make some of the maps and create extremely asteroid fields in the center so capital ships fighting defensively can have more room for Maneuver Warfare. That and making upgrades that increase Turbolaser firing range would be great. :)

I guess Beskar is kinda like Damascus Steel IRL. a substance and manufacturing process that was practically unbeatable in the weaponry of the time it was most dominant, which has been lost to history
I come back after two months with a new computer and look at the updates and the screaming fanboy comes back instantly. Can't wait for this mod :D
